Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!
- Please let us know you worshiped with us by introducing yourself to a Pastor.
- If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.

Bible Studies
- Sunday Bible Class – “The Life of David”
This Bible study meets on Sunday mornings at 9:10 in the church basement. We are meditating on the series The Life of David. We are looking at events in David’s life and connect them to our lives. The Lord uses David’s strengths and weaknesses to teach his church. From David killing Goliath to David being overcome by temptation, we can see images of ourselves and learn how God deals justly with those he loves. Please join us!
- Fall Bible Study “Thessalonians”
We are working through the two letters of the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians, under a heading: “Encouragement and Guidance for Christians Living in Difficult Times and Places.” We meet Mondays at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. (same lesson at each) in the church basement. Please join us!
Advent By Candlelight will be held on December 5th, 2021. There is a sign-up sheet at both church entrances for any of our ladies and guests who would like to attend the event. If you have a seat request or hostess preference or food allergy, please note that on the sign-up sheet. If you would like to be a table hostess, decorating a table and providing a dessert, please indicate that on the sign-up sheet also.
OWLS Meeting Area WELS Seniors are invited to St. Stephen’s of Beaver Dam on Tuesday, November 9th. We will have a potluck dinner at noon in the church basement. After the dinner and a devotion, Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt will speak about “Senior Scams.” Come and learn about how to be more careful with your finances and enjoy the fellowship! This will be the final gathering for the year. Bring a friend!
Blessings abound at St. Stephen’s– Help the Food Drive!
The school will be collecting nonperishable foods for a November food drive. Collection containers are put out in the narthex and the ramp so that members of the congregation can bring donations also. God’s Richest Blessings!
Special Freewill Offering on November 21st A special free will offering will be gathered on the weekend of November 21, for Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Richland Center, WI. Bethlehem is a mission congregation in our district. They have recently purchased a former elementary school to use as their ministry center. The congregation is trying to raise $300,000 for renovations to the building. Our district is taking a special offering to help this congregation. Please consider helping our brothers and sisters out as they reach out with the gospel message.
Lutheran Teens will have an Un-Lock-In on Friday,
November 12, from 3:30 PM-9:00 PM. Come for food, games, and fellowship. Meet in the church basement, and we will then disperse to various activities. No need to sign up!
Hand Bell Choir The Hand Bell Choir will be starting practices and we are in need of new members. Experience is not needed as we would enjoy teaching you how to play the bells. Our practices are Wednesday evenings at 7:15pm until about 8:30pm in the church balcony. We play in church about seven times a year and also at Advent by Candlelight. Please call Ranee Welch (887-1624).
Hymnal Display Check out the display of former and current WELS hymnals in the display case in the church basement. Early hymnals were text only, and the organist alone had the music. See some examples downstairs. What is now old was once new.
Decorating For Christmas: Contribute your time and talents to your Lord and the church! Your help is needed to add Advent/Christmas beauty. Please meet at the front of church (ramp door will be open) on the following days:
- Saturday, November 27th, 9:00am – Take down Thanksgiving decorations – Put up Advent window decorations – New Hymnal distribution
- Sunday, November 28th, 11:00am – Put up/Decorate 12 ft. Christmas trees (strong men encouraged to participate)
Fall Festival Thank You The Evangelism committee would like to thank all who participated and donated to our Fall Festival this year. The Lord truly blessed our day, by not only providing us with beautiful weather, but also by bringing in over 150 people to our event.
