CLOSE COMMUNION
Scripture teaches that the Lord’s Supper brings us close to Jesus and expresses our closeness to each other. For that reason, we practice “close” communion. We ask that only those who are close in faith and fellowship (WELS or ELS members) partake with us. If you would like to know more, one of our pastors would be happy to visit with you. If you are visiting, please speak to one of the pastors before communing.
- Communion is offered in all services the Second Sunday of the month and the Thursday evening before.
- Communion is also offered in all services the last Sunday of the month as well as the Thursday evening before.
- We use individual cups in all services.
- On the last Sunday of the month, the common cup is also offered in the 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services.
Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it,
and gave it to his disciples, saying,
“Take and eat; this is my body.”
Then he took the cup,
gave thanks and offered it to them, saying,
“Drink from it all of you.
This is my blood of the covenant,
which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Matthew 26:26-28
