Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!

  • Please let us know you worshiped with us by signing our guest book in the entryway or a Care Card in your pew and drop it in the offering basket.
  • If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.
  • Introduce yourself to a Pastor, and worship with us again!

Holy Communion will be offered today in all services. You may register by card at any time or register in person in the sacristy. We ask all guests to please speak with a pastor before communing.

Lenten Midweek Services “Three Words of Truth” is the theme of our midweek worship for the 2019 Lenten Season. Each service focuses on important three-word phrases from the record of Jesus’ passion and resurrection: “Is it I?” “Love One Another.” “Watch and Pray.” “I Am He.”  “What Is Truth?” “Take Him Away!”  Our pastors will be preaching in rotation with the pastors of St. John’s in Juneau and Good Shepherd in Beaver Dam. Worship services will be at 1:30 and 6:30pm.

LENTEN SUPPERS!  Once again this year there will be a light supper in our church basement before our 6:30 services provided by some of our church organizations. This week our Alter Guild will be hosting a shredded bbq pork supper. Serving time will run from 5:15-6:00pm.

We hope that this will make it easier for our busy families to come for these special worship services as well as give many of us another opportunity to enjoy Christian fellowship with one another.

Donations and baked goods such as sweet rolls, coffee cake, doughnuts, etc. can be brought on Saturday, April 20th, from 10:00am -1:00pm. If you are willing to help with the Easter Breakfast, please sign your name and phone number on the sign-up sheet on the table in the entry. Breakfast will be served continuously from 7:00-10:30 A.M.

OWLS Meeting April 9 is the next meeting of St. Stephens OWLS which begins with a potluck at noon.  Special guest, Sara Zondag, will present a program at 1 p.m. telling of her work in Thailand and Burma where she has spent the past several years.  She is involved with Thai Village where native artisans produce many unique and colorful handcrafted items.  Many of these items will be on display and offered for sale. Sara is the daughter of Barb and Dick Zondag of Randolph.   Please join us at this special event and learn more about one of our WELS mission fields.

LWMS would like to thank all the members that contributed to the door offering the last two weeks.  The $992.50 donated will be used for the home mission project, “Campus Ministry-New Start”, and the world mission project in Haiti.

School News

Dear Members of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and School,

Serving here, with this faculty and these students, has been a tremendous blessing on my life, one that I treasure. However, for familial and personal reasons, I feel it is time for my service here to end. I will be resigning my call as St. Stephen’s 4th grade teacher at the end of this school year, effective June 30th.  My great concern is that if I were to stay my level of dedication to the call would diminish. So for the good of the ministry, I feel it is time to go. This church and school will remain in my prayers. I look forward to seeing the growth God will accomplish here, and I pray you feel the same about the growth God will work in my life.

Your Sister in Christ,
Miss Abby Davis
