Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!
- Please let us know you worshiped with us by signing our guest book in the entryway or a Care Card in your pew and drop it in the offering basket.
- If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.
- Introduce yourself to a Pastor, and worship with us again!
Holy Communion will be offered today in all services. You may register by card at any time. We ask all guests to please speak with a pastor before communing.

Gospel Outreach Opportunities This Summer
Be a greeter in the WELS Info Booth at the Dodge County Fair!
The fair runs August 14-18 this year. Spend a couple hours at the booth with fellow believers to greet passers-by and to share Christian literature and information about our area WELS churches. You don’t have to be a doctor of theology, just a smiling believer who can say, “Jesus takes my sins away and will take me to heaven someday!” A schedule / sign-up sheet is on the entryway table, along with a “tip sheet” for volunteers in case you have questions.
Summer Bible Class Schedule
June 30 Psalm 23 July 28th Psalm 51
July 7th Unified Budget Discussion August 4th Psalm 103
July 14th Psalm 46 August 11th Psalm 110
July 21st Friends of China August 18th Psalm 139
Unified Budget Proposal Discussion next Sunday At the 2 most recent Voters’ Meetings, the Church Council proposed that St. Stephen’s operate under a “Unified Budget”. In reality, it’s not much of a change. A unified budget places all offerings into “one pot” and pays all “regular” expenses and commitments from that “one pot” based on what is budgeted. The most notable change that everyone would see would be the offering envelopes. The weekly envelope would not have 3 “choices” for distributing an offering (Current, Building & Debt, Missions) and there would be no monthly Lakeside Lutheran High School envelope. Amounts for WELS Missions support and for Lakeside would be budgeted and a consistent monthly contribution would be sent to WELS and to LLHS. (Special gifts for those ministries may certainly be made via Special Gift envelopes that are always available in the church entryways.)
An opportunity for everyone to ask questions and share thoughts about a Unified Budget will be during the bible class time next Sunday, July 7, 8:45 – 9:15 A.M. The proposal to operate under a unified budget will be on the agenda for a vote at the Quarterly Voters’ meeting to be held Sunday, July 14 at 10:45 A.M. So, please come to this Q&A time next Sunday so that the Voters Assembly can make an informed and conscientious decision.
Summer Picnic Mark your calendars for August 25th for the annual church picnic. This year we will be welcoming 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Krebs, and new upper grade teacher, Mrs. Boll. Vacation Bible School signs are ready to be picked up and put out on lawns. Stop by the office or pick a sign up in the back of church or on the ramp. Sign up sheets will be put out next week for donations and opportunities to help out the week of VBS. Thank you!
