Funeral Audrey Voss-Gerth was called home to heaven on June 4, age 83.  Funeral services were held June 9. Nola Draheim was called home to heaven on June 13, age 78.  Funeral services were held June 16.  LeRoy Becker was called home to heaven on June 16.  Private funeral services will be held this week.

During the summer, we will have a short Bible study Sundays after services, 10:40 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Our study will be A Biblical View of Worship with a look at Old and New Testament worship, the history of our worship, and some of the principles that shape our worship now and going forward. We will also discuss some of the background and the materials in the new Christian Worship: Hymnal 2021.

Camp Wyalusing is looking for counselors for their summer camp. If you or someone you know have finished your sophomore year of high school, are looking to spend a week working with kids, and have a passion for serving, then contact Head Counselor Mandi Smith or Camp Director Danny Hafenstein at [email protected]. Camp runs July 4-9. The week can also be used for any volunteer service hours requirements. More info can be found at

Brewer Game Opportunity WELS might not be hosting a game for the Brewers, but we are!  Good Shepherd-Beaver Dam,
St. John’s Juneau/Horicon/Lowell, and all of us here at St. Stephen’s will have the opportunity to head to Milwaukee for a baseball game on August 6. Please sign up online or call the church office.  Tickets are $18 a ticket and there will also be bussing for $12 a seat.  Sign up online at for tickets and for the bus!

Teens Outing Teens will be going to Fondy Sports Park on

Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society Annual Convention will again be held virtually, June 24-27 under the theme “Proclaim God’s Promises”. To view mission work presentations and other convention “activity” check out or

Pastor Stratman Receives Call As was verbally announced last week, Pastor Stratman has received a Call to serve as Pastor of St. James Lutheran Church in Portage (Kalamazoo), Michigan.  He asks for your prayers and welcomes constructive comments as he considers where in God’s Kingdom work his abilities can best be used.

Footsteps of Paul Tour. Would you like to see the sights where Paul preached? There are still spots available to join Pastor Dorn, other WELS pastors, and church family members, on a journey to Greece in 2022.  If you are interested, informational brochures are available in church or ask Pastor Dorn with any questions you might have. 

Christian Worship: Hymnal Orders The new Christian Worship: Hymnal is now available to pre-order.  St. Stephen’s will be doing a bulk order to save on shipping costs.  The price of the hymnal pew edition is $24.  A leather-bound gift edition may also be ordered and is $52. Please indicate “gift” on the signup if you would like to order the leather-bound gift edition.  Payment is due when hymnal is picked up.  There are 4 easy ways to sign up for your own copy.  There are signup sheets in the back of church and by the ramp door or you could call (920-885-3309) or email the office ([email protected]).   Imprinting is available for an additional price.  Form and details with signup sheets.  All orders should be placed by June 30.
