Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!
- Please let us know you worshiped with us by introducing yourself to a Pastor.
- If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.

During the summer, we will have a short Bible study Sundays after services, 10:40 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Our study will be A Biblical View of Worship with a look at Old and New Testament worship, the history of our worship, and some of the principles that shape our worship now and going forward. We will also discuss some of the background and the materials in the new Christian Worship: Hymnal 2021.
WELS Booth at Dodge County Fair – Lord willing, there will be a Dodge County Fair this summer! It is scheduled for August 18-22. An informational/outreach booth supported by Dodge County WELS congregations is also being planned again. If you would like to spend a few hours greeting people and sharing info at the booth you may sign up on the scheduling sheet in the entryway.
Board of Education Seeks to Hire Kindergarten Aide A Kindergarten class of 16 or more 5-year old children is anticipated in our school this year! Our Board of Ed (with Church Council concurrence) believes it wise to provide an Aide to our Kindergarten Teacher and is seeking applicants for that hired position. Applicants should 1) be a member of St. Stephen’s or a sister WELS congregation; 2) have some experience working with young children either in a day care, pre-school, or elementary school setting.
The position would be for 5 hours per day (probably 9am-2pm) at a pay rate of $12/ hour. Application forms may be picked up weekdays at the Church Office and Sundays in the Pastors’ Sacristy (chancel office).
Vacation Bible School will take place July 26-30, from 9:00 AM-11:30 AM. All children from 3 years old-6th grade are invited to join us for Bible stories, crafts, songs, games, and fun! Please see our website and Facebook for more information. Spread the word to family and friends. All are welcome! We are also looking for donations for snack items. Please see the sign-up sheets in the entry and ramp. Yard signs are also available to help publicize our VBS. Feel free to take one and bring it back after VBS. If you have any questions, contact the church office or one of the pastors.
Area WELS Seniors Area seniors are invited to the basement of St. Stephen’s in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, July 13. After a pot-luck meal at noon, and a devotion, Albert and Phyllis Frankenstein will speak on their trip to New Zealand. All those 55 and older are welcome. St. Stephen’s is handi-capped accessible. Bring a friend!
“Listening Session” with Church Council Our Church Council has been elected through our congregation Voters Assembly to lead our congregation in the orderly operation of the church. A large part of leading is listening. The Council is looking at our worship service schedule as we move away from the schedules adopted due to the reaction to Covid. Observed worship attendance trends the last couple years leads the Council to question the wisdom of having 3 worship services on Sundays. They desire to make a worship service schedule recommendation to the Voters Assembly at their meeting on Sunday, August 1. Therefore, a time for sharing opinions on our worship schedule is open to all members on July 18 at 10:35 a.m. (following the 9:30 worship service). Input from that “listening session” will help the Council formulate a recommendation on a future schedule. You may also always share your thoughts privately with any Council member (Curt Lehman, Roger Leland, Jayme Roll, Jeff Schlegel, Mike Schultz, Joel Scott, Duane Swenson, Noah Trimmer, Scott Wittnebel).
