Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!
• Please let us know you worshiped with us by introducing yourself to a Pastor.
• If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.

Bible Studies
• Winter Bible Study “Book of Acts”. The new Christian church was filled with ups and downs. God worked to bring great numbers into his fold. The world also tried to keep God’s Word from spreading. One thing we do see, God blessed his church tremendously. Join us for a study of the book of Acts to learn about the growth of God’s church after his ascension. To join us for in-person Bible class, join us Mondays at 7:00pm and Wednesdays at 11:00am. Streaming video isn’t working from the basement, but we are recording the Monday session and putting it on YouTube, Wednesdays at noon. An archive of classes including all the previous chapters are available on Youtube for those who want to review or who haven’t attended and want to catch up and join the study in person or online.
Season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, February 17. Special midweek (Wednesday) services will focus us on our Savior’s sacrifice for our eternal salvation. This year’s theme will be “Hands of the Passion”, letting us see our Savior’s love as hands of people around him were raised against him, but also as his hands were pierced for our rescue. Our Pastors will be sharing preaching with Pastor Reichert of Good Shepherd and Pastors Brandt and Schupmann of St. John’s of Juneau. Wednesday services will be held at 1:30, 3:30, 6:30, & 7pm.
Camp Phillip Door Offering was $354.00. Thank you for your generosity. Camp Phillip’s mission is to provide relaxation in creation and renewal in Christ to youth, adults, families, churches and schools throughout the year.
Kindergarten Round-Up On Monday, February 8, 2021,
St. Stephen’s will be holding our annual Kindergarten Round-Up. This will be from 6pm to 7pm. It is an opportunity for new Kindergarten parents and students to meet and greet the faculty of the school. If you know of a family that has a child that would be in Kindergarten next year, please encourage them to be part of this Round-up and learn more about the importance of Christian elementary education. For additional information, please call or email Mr. Schulz at 885-6484 or principal@saintstephen.org.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool will also be hosting a Open House on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm. For additional information, call Kim Steinberg at 885-4317 or Duane Ohland at 210-3702.
Getting married this next year? The 2021 Marriage Seminar will be Saturday, February 20th, from 9 am to 1 pm in the church basement. Using the study-discussion guide “Building the Christian Home”, we will touch on God’s “blueprint” for marriage, the foundation and structure of a Christian marriage, finances in a family, and the growing family. Please use the sign-up sheet in the back of church or call the office at 885-3309 to reserve your spot. Signing up will help us have an adequate supply of study guides and refreshments.
Children’s Offering Envelopes We give our offerings as part of our worship to God. We generously bring a firstfruit offering as thanks to God for all he has done and given to us. It is important that we pass this down to our children. In order to help parents with this, we have special envelopes for children. They are located in the back of the church by the Sunday School materials. Each box contains an envelope for each Sunday of the month and a place for the child’s name. Feel free to pick up a box, as we train a future generation in their life of stewardship.
