Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!

  • Please let us know you worshiped with us by signing our guest book in the entryway or a Care Card in your pew and drop it in the offering basket.
  • If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.
  • Introduce yourself to a Pastor, and worship with us again!

Holy Communion will be offered next week in all services. You may register by card at any time.

Christian Education Sunday is next week.  Our worship as a new school year soon begins focuses on the importance and necessity of education in God’s Word for all ages.  Also in our 9:30 service new teachers will be installed and all teachers will renew their promises to faithfully teach God’s Word and all other subjects.

Church Picnic  St. Stephen’s and Good Shepherd will be having a combined church picnic next Sunday, August 25th at Lakeview Park.  A noon lunch has been planned with place settings, brats and hot dogs, beverage, and dessert provided.  The picnic committee is asking families to please bring a dish to pass.  This year we will be welcoming 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Krebs, new upper grade teacher, Mrs. Boll, and welcoming back 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Brace. Hope to see you and your family there!

Senior Choir begins rehearsal next Thursday, August 22nd, at 7:30pm after the worship service. We meet in the band/choir room of the school. If you are a confirmed member and love to serve your Savior through song, we would be happy to see you join us. Bring a friend and come to the first practice to learn more about what’s happening this year. If you would like more information about Senior Choir, contact Mr. David Schulz at 920-344-9435.

Hospital Reminder Your pastors love to bring God’s comforting Word to our hospitalized members!  All hospitals however, cannot let the church office know unless you call us or ask them to call us. Please do not hesitate to call.

St. Stephen’s Scrip Program started last fall with families at our Lutheran Elementary School.  After the initial pilot year, we have decided to roll the program out to the entire congregation.  In addition, we are looking for volunteers to be part of a committee to help run the program.  Please contact the scrip coordinator at scrip@saintstephen.org if you are interested in helping out.  A brief summary of the program is outlined below.
What is Scrip?  Scrip is a program that lets you earn money for St. Stephen’s Lutheran School simply by shopping for every day items.
How does Scrip work?  When you enroll in the scrip program, you can purchase gift cards from retailers associated with scrip program (gas, groceries, dining, home improvement, clothes, etc.) at face value. The retailers involved then donate a percentage of the purchase back to St. Stephen’s Scrip program, otherwise known as a rebate.  That rebate is then split 50/50 with 50% being designated to St. Stephen’s Lutheran School and 50% being designated by the family to be used to offset registration fees, affiliated high school tuition or donated back to St. Stephen’s Lutheran School.
How do I sign up? We will begin taking registrations between services over the next few weeks.
What do I do if I have questions? The Scrip Coordinator is Michelle Hemling.  She can be contacted at scrip@saintstephen.org.  She will also be available to answer questions between services during the next few weeks.
How do I order/pickup my gift cards? Beginning sometime in September, a calendar will be established with order dates and pickup times.
