During the summer, we will have a short Bible study Sundays after services, 10:40 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.  A new session is starting today, July 25th.

Jesus gives the command to his church to go and make disciples of all nations. What does this look like? What is my role in this? How can I better share my faith with others? These questions can be hard to answer. Our new topic for Bible Class will dive into the topic of evangelism, sharing Jesus with others. We will study God’s command to us, as we carry it out as a church and in our personal lives. Tips will also be given as to how to better witness our faith to others.

Area WELS Seniors  All are invited to Friedens Lutheran of Randolph on Tuesday, August 10th.  We will have a potluck meal at 12:00 noon in the church basement.  After the meal, we will head upstairs for a devotion.  Ken Kehlenbrink of Randolph will give a talk on “African Hunting Trips.”   Friedens is hand-capped accessible.  Bring a friend and join the fellowship!

WELS Booth at Dodge County Fair – Lord willing, there will be a Dodge County Fair this summer!  It is scheduled for August 18-22.  An informational/outreach booth supported by Dodge County WELS congregations is also being planned again.  If you would like to spend a few hours greeting people and sharing info at the booth you may sign up on the scheduling sheet in the entryway.

Concert in the Park WELS Wind Ensemble invites you to its annual concert in the park on Sunday, August 8th, at 4pm at the Swan Park Band Shell (bad weather it will be at Good Shepherd).  Door prizes will be given and a hot dog supper offered to all who attend.

Quarterly Voters’ Meeting Will be held at 10:40 this Sunday morning in the sanctuary.  In addition to reports about ministry and other activity during the 2nd quarter of 2021, the major agenda item will be adopting a permanent worship service schedule to begin in September.  Recommendation from Church Council based on input from the July 18 listening session is to adopt the following:  Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., Fridays at 1:30 p.m. (abbreviated/no or minimal singing), Sundays at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. with a Christian education block of time (Sunday School/Bible Class) between services.

PTS Cleaning Day is coming up on Saturday, August 21st! We will start at 9:00am and clean until 1:00pm. Any members of our church or school are invited to participate and help. You may come at 9am and stay for an hour or stay for the entire duration – it’s up to you! The church ramp door and school parking lot doors will be open and we will all meet in the church basement to designate direction. Any and all help is welcome and appreciated. Cleaning supplies are provided but if you have your favorite bucket or pail to bring, please do so. Any questions or just want to know more? Send Emily McFarlane (mom of 2nd grader and Kindergartener) a text or call (920) 344-0774.
Let’s get the school ready for our children!

VBS Thank you!  To all the volunteers who donated their time and talents this last week at VBS we would like to offer our many thanks.  Our congregation is so blessed to be able to outreach this way and also huge thank you to the people who donated money, put up yard signs, donated supplies, and said a prayer.  We had over 47 children attend this year!  God is good!

Publications The August issue of “Forward in Christ” is available in the entryway of church.
