Bible Studies
- Winter Bible Study “Book of Acts”. The new Christian church was filled with ups and downs. God worked to bring great numbers into his fold. The world also tried to keep God’s Word from spreading. One thing we do see, God blessed his church tremendously. Join us for a study of the book of Acts to learn about the growth of God’s church after his ascension. To join us for in-person Bible class, join us Mondays at 7:00pm and Wednesdays at 11:00am. Pastors are recording the Monday session and putting it on YouTube, Wednesdays at noon. An archive of classes including all the previous chapters are available on Youtube for those who want to review or who haven’t attended and want to catch up and join the study in person or online.
Quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be held in the church Today, Sunday, April 18, after the 11:00 Worship Service. All male members 18 years and older are encouraged to take part in this leadership activity in Jesus’ Church. All are welcome.
Summer Bible Camp Opportunities Children ages 8-14 have two opportunities for a week at summer Bible Camp: Camp Phillip (Wautoma) and Camp Wyalusing (near Prairie du Chien). Information about both camps is available in the entryway.
PTS Book Fair The PTS will be hosting a Book Fair May 2-9 in the church basement. A wide variety of books will be set out on Sunday from 8:30 AM-Noon, and weekdays from 3:15 PM-4:00 PM. This is open for anyone. Bring your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and anyone else interested in picking up a good book. Sales from the book fair help our teachers fill their classrooms with books.
Ice Cream Social & Walk for Life: The 1st ever Watertown Walk for Life will be held at Riverside Park on Sunday, July 25th. This year we are combining our Annual Ice Cream Social with this Walk for Life. The Alpha Resource Center is asking for volunteers to help make this a meaningful event. The first planning meeting will be at the Center on April 27th, from 7-8pm. Call 920.342.7720 or 920.261.9207 to volunteer.
Confirmation Request: Confirmation will be held on Sunday, May 2nd at the 11am service. We ask that unless you have a family member being confirmed that you please make arrangements to attend an earlier service that day.
Luther Prep Children’s Theater: LPS invites you to enjoy their production of “Itsy Bitsy: Trial of an 8-Legged Washout” by Charlotte Nixon in the LPS Auditorium at 7pm on Saturday, May 1st and/or at 4pm on Sunday, May 2nd. Tickets are $4/person or $10/Family. No RSVPs needed.
There will also be an LPS Open House at 5pm before the 7pm show on Saturday, May 1st. You will take a tour, enjoy a complimentary dinner and free tickets to the performance. Please RSVP by April 28th to LPS at info@lps.wels.net or call 920-261-4352 if interested in attending the Open House.
