Forward in Christ:  Living Water for a Thirsty Soul

God Word– impressed on the move.
“Therefore go and gather disciples from all nations by baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and by teaching them to keep all the instructions I have given you. And surely I am with you always until the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20

Encouragement Passage:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Singing/Worship Schedule:
Grades K-8 will sing during Ascension/Graduation service on Thursday, May 29, starting at 6:30.  Children’s Choir, Jr. Choir and 8th grade students will need to be here by 5:45 for mass rehearsal of our song.  This is the one and only rehearsal with all three choirs so it is important that students are there on time.

Mission Collection:
Quarter 4 brings us to supporting the WELS college of Ministry, MLC.  This past week’s collection was $80.50.  We are at $370.60, which is 74.1% of our $500.00 goal.  We have 2 weeks of collection during our chapel service between now and the end of the school year to get there.

Fundraising update:
For our fundraisers this year so far we have raised the following through gifts and activities:
Bleachers:  $16247.06 (54% of our goal)
Playground:  $60216.41 (80% of our goal for stage 1)
We are well on our way to possibly getting these items in place before the start of the 2025-2026 school year if donations fall correctly in the next few weeks.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us along in this journey.

Teacher appreciation week:
Thank you to everyone for the gifts and words of encouragement as the week went on.  All the members of the faculty greatly appreciate the support you show us throughout the year.

St. Stephen’s School Mission:
St. Stephen’s Lutheran School will offer a Christ-centered education to all students. We will instruct them in the Word of God, educate them in secular subjects, train them to become responsible citizens in our community, and prepare them for their eternal victory in heaven when they die. We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.
Please remember that if you need assistance with anything that you can reach out to the teachers and leaders of St. Stephen’s.  You can also find answers to some questions on the website: www.ssbdwels.com

Blessings on your week.
