St. Stephen’s Weekly News 2/9/2025
God Word– impressed at home.
But as for me and my household,
we will serve the LORD.
Joshua 24:15
Encouragement Passage
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:13-17

Calls:
On Sunday, January 19, the voting members of the congregation called Pastor Matthew Reis (pronounced “Rice”) to be our shepherd at St. Stephen’s. In the same meeting, we called Mrs. Katrina Reis to be our 3rd grade teacher in the school. Lord’s blessings as they deliberate the calls granted by our Lord through our voters.
Currently Mrs. Trimmer is holding a call to be the 3-5 grade teacher at St. John’s in Goodhue, MN. Please pray for Mrs. Trimmer as she deliberates where she can best use her gifts in God’s kingdom. Feel free to reach out and discuss things with her as well.

We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.
Please remember that if you need assistance with anything that you can reach out to the teachers and leaders of St. Stephen’s. You can also find answers to some questions on the website: www.ssbdwels.com
