Pizza Ranch Community Impact Event:

Only 3 families have signed up to help as of Saturday evening.  We need your help!

We are heading to Pizza Ranch for a night of community and fundraising! All proceeds go toward the installation of our new bleachers this August. Since this project benefits the entire school, we are asking all families to consider helping out.
Location:  Pizza Ranch, Beaver Dam

Event Details

  • Date:  Thursday, February 26
  • Time Commitment:  30 minutes, 1 hour, or the whole evening—every bit helps!
    • Volunteers, please show up 5 minutes before your shift begins.

Volunteer Roles

We need a large team of volunteers for two core areas:

  • Greeters:  Welcoming customers at the front door.
  • Dining Room:  Helping bus tables to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Fundraising at the Front Table

  • Mummify a Teacher:  Drop your donations into the buckets to vote for the Raider Group Teacher you want to see “mummified” the most!
  • Round Up Cards:  Available for $15.
    • Includes 3 coupons (each can be used 3 times).
    • Total value of $85 in savings!

Important Notes

  • Supervision:  Children must be accompanied by a parent while volunteering.
  • Waivers:  All volunteers must sign a waiver upon arrival (parents will sign for minors).
  • Photo:  At the end of the evening, we would like a few people present for a photo.

Mummy Madness:
From February 23 Through March 6, students may bring in a donation in an envelope labeled with their Raider group color.  (No names necessary).  The more money raised per Raider color group, the more crepe paper earned with which to wrap the Raider group teacher!  The funds raised here will go to help fund the new bleachers in the gym.  There will also be buckets out at the Pizza Ranch Night on Thursday, February 26.

Call News:
St. Stephen’s called Mrs. Dania Wickert to be our 4th grade teacher.  Mrs. Wickert currently services at St. Paul’s in Mt. Calvary, WI.  Please keep Mrs. Wickert and her family in your prayers as she decides where to best serve in the Lord’s kingdom.

Kindergarten Round-Up:
Tomorrow evening is our annual Kindergarten Round-Up.  The event will run from 6:00-7:00.  It is an opportunity for new Kindergarten parents and students to meet and greet the faculty of the school.  If you know of a family that has a child that would be in Kindergarten next year, please encourage them to be part of this Round-up and learn more about the importance of Christian elementary education.

Mission offering:
Quarter 3 mission offering is well underway.  We collected $87.00 last weekThis puts us at $405.95 of our $500.00 goal this week.  That is 94.1% of our goal.  There are 3 weeks left to collect for this mission.  If each student were to contribute $1.00 per week over the next 3, we will easily surpass our goal to support this wonderful mission in the neighborhoods of downtown Madison.  Let us continue to show our gratitude to our Lord as we support this mission over the coming weeks.

2026-2027 Registration:
Online registration for the 2026-2027 school year is open.  Please fill out the registration as soon as you see it appear on FastDirect.  If for some reason you are going to delay your registration/intent for the next school year, please let us know.

2026-2027 School fees:
After discussions at the Board of Education, the 2026-2027 school year will not see an increase in the book fees that are assessed to the families.  This book fee is assessed to help with certain parts of the school’s mission:  curriculum, technology, certain fees, supplies, yearbooks, certain maintenance items, etc.

St. Stephen’s Members—- $1,150

  • St. Stephen’s members support the rest of the ministry (salaries, benefits, utilities, main maintenance items, etc)  through their weekly giving.

Fee for other WELS/ELS Congregations—-$3,700

  • Members of other WELS/ELS congregations would have to consult with their home church about any book fee assistance they might have.
  • WELS/ELS congregations can make   monthly payments to St. Stephen’s.
  • At this time, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will subsidize this fee (Please continue to support Good Shepherds Mission offerings to help in this matter).  The parents will be responsible for the $1150 book fee school year.  (This process is the same as this year)

Fees for Students Outside of Our Fellowship or unchurched—-$4,350
