This is the final weekly update of 2024.

The next weekly update will come out on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

Singing Schedule:
Thank you to every group that has sung during a service throughout the first half of this school year.  There are many more great opportunities to sing the Lord’s praises in the second semester.

2024 Christmas Service:
Tonight our Christmas service starts at 4:00.  Please have the children to their designated spots no later than 3:40.  Students in grades K-4 will meet in the lower hallway classrooms. Students in grades 5-8 will meet in the gym. Please remember that the doors to the school will not open until about 3:30 and the church doors will not open until approximately 3:15.
Piano students in grades 5-8 should be in church by 3:30.

Mission Collection:
We collected $47.25 in our chapel service last week for the WELS mission to the United Kingdom.  We surpassed our $500.00 goal with a total of $503.20.  Thank you for all your support for this mission throughout the second quarter.

A Christmas message:
As we enter this most joyful season of celebrating the birth of our Savior, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the blessings we share as a school community. The Christ-child, born in Bethlehem, is the reason for our hope, joy, and peace, not only during Christmas but throughout the entire year.

It has been a true privilege to partner with you in the Christian education of your children. Their smiles, laughter, and growth in faith bring so much joy to our days. Thank you for your support, encouragement, and prayers. Together, we are raising a generation of young people who know their Savior and shine His light in the world.

We pray that your Christmas is filled with the peace of Christ, the love of family, and the joy of the season. May the message of the angel resound in your hearts: “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11).

God’s blessings to you this Christmas and into the New Year!

In Christ’s love,
The Faculty and Staff of St. Stephen’s Lutheran School

St. Stephen’s School Mission:
St. Stephen’s Lutheran School will offer a Christ-centered education to all students. We will instruct them in the Word of God, educate them in secular subjects, train them to become responsible citizens in our community, and prepare them for their eternal victory in heaven when they die. We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.

Please remember that if you need assistance with anything that you can reach out to the teachers and leaders of St. Stephen’s.  You can also find answers to some questions on the website: www.ssbdwels.com

Blessings on your next 2 weeks and your time together.
