God Word is impressed at the beginning of the day.
But I will sing about your strength.
In the morning I will shout about your mercy,
because you are a high fortress for me.
Psalm 59:16

Encouragement Passage:
He also made us competent as ministers of a new testament
(not of letter, but of spirit).
For the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.
2 Corinthians 3:6

Singing Schedule:
Thank you to the Children’s Choir for their song this morning and on Friday during our 1:00 service..

Kindergarten and 1st grade will sing on Sunday, November 17 during the 10:00 service.  Please see classroom notes for more information on arrival time and where to sit.

Mission Collection:
We collected $39.25 in our chapel service last week for Project Timothy.  We set a goal of $111.35 for our first quarter. Let’s see how far we can take the 2nd quarter goal.  The 2nd quarter missions will go to help the WELS world mission in the United Kingdom.

Veterans Day:
Our annual Veterans Day celebration is tomorrow.  Feel free to come to the chapel service.  Arrive at school and enter through the office to use the elevator or utilize the ramp entrance on the east side of the building

Weather information:
Please be aware that morning temperatures are around the 30-35 degree mark.  We have had many children showing up without, what one might say, is proper fall wear in Wisconsin.  Younger children are especially encouraged to bring a hat, gloves, and even a coat as they go outside before it really starts to warm up for the day.

Financial responsibilities:
Fee statements were sent home recently.  Please remember to pay this before the 15th of the month.  Thank you.

School entry in the morning:
Just a friendly reminder that the west door (W3) is the main entry for ALL students in the morning unless they arrive at school after 8:00.  Only after 8:00 should students enter the building through the office.

Food Drive:
From October 28-November 22, St. Stephen’s will be collecting non-perishable food for the local food pantry.  There will be a classroom challenge associated with this food drive this year.  Classroom groups will be as follows:  Kindergarten and 6th grade, 1st grade, 2nd and 7th grade, 3rd and 4th grade, 5th and 8th grade.  So, get excited to start collecting!  Each week, the group with the most contributions will receive an edible treat and/or a non-edible prize! Most importantly, let’s let our light shine and share the love of Jesus by helping to meet the bodily needs of people in our community.

Fall Spirit Week:
