Pursue
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
Philippians 3:12
Encouragement Passage:
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you
and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven,
for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 5:11-12

Mission offering:
We are collecting offerings for LLHS OpGo. We have collected $305.90 of our $500.00 goal so far. This past week was a collection of $67.00, which is 61.2% of our total goal. Let the Lord of Life guide us as we support this mission. Please look for envelopes to come home with children. We thank Pastor Dustin Yahnke for his message last Monday about taking the Gospel message to various places in the United States. As a point of reference, for each student from LLHS that goes on one of these OpGo trips, it costs anywhere from $600-$800.00 per student. With our offerings, we will be able to help out a student as they take the Gospel to the various corners of the country. We have 3 weeks of collections for this mission.
Parent/Teacher Conferences:
Thank you to everyone who came to Parent/Teacher Conferences. The conversations will help guide the education of the students throughout the next couple of months.
Pizza Ranch Fundraiser:
Thank you to everyone who came to support Good Shepherd’s Community Impact event at Pizza Ranch last Monday. The preschool was able to raise $712.00 for the extension of their playground.
School payments:
Monthly school payment notifications were sent home. Please stay current with your payments to school. If you desire to pay through the Fast Direct programming, please use the information sent home to you. The Fast Direct programming does not update until the 15th of each month. You can pay the amount sent home to you even though Fast Direct may say something different. The amount due is what is sent home to the families. Thank you.
Area Reformation Service:
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., there will be a Reformation Service held at the Luther Prep Chapel in Watertown. If your student who is in grades 3-8 desires to participate, please let Mr. Schulz or Mr. Barnett know and they will get you details. What a great opportunity to gather with other Lutherans and celebrate the Reformation.

St. Stephen’s School Mission:
St. Stephen’s Lutheran School will offer a Christ-centered education to all students. We will instruct them in the Word of God, educate them in secular subjects, train them to become responsible citizens in our community, and prepare them for their eternal victory in heaven when they die. We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.
Please remember that if you need assistance with anything that you can reach out to the teachers and leaders of St. Stephen’s. You can also find answers to some questions on the website: www.ssbdwels.com
