Wow! In retrospect, February seems to have flown by. With the beginning of March, we also experience the beginning of Lent. May our hearts and minds be focused on everything our Savior suffered for our salvation.
Here are some tidbits for the week:
OWW: The field trip to Old World Wisconsin is Thursday, May 22 from 8 to 3. If you are able to drive and chaperone that would be awesome. Please let me know, and I will add you to the list. Thanks.
READING PROJECT: The projects for the Sarah, Plain and Tall reading group began this past week. There will be opportunities to work during school, but time may be needed at home as well. The due date for these projects will be Friday, March 7th. Finished projects may be turned in when completed. The Ranger group is making board games as well. School has provided the tagboard. The Ranger group may have a different deadline. We’ll see how it goes.
SINGING: Our next singing opportunity is tomorrow, Sunday, March 2 at St. Stephen’s during the 8:00 service. The kiddos will be sitting with you and coming up to sing.
MISSION: Our new mission will be for a starter congregation in Bend, Oregon. Our goal will once again be $500. Our total so far is $416.45 which is roughly 83 % of our goal. We have
$ 83.55 left to raise to meet our goal of blessing this mission within 2 weeks. Just think, with the amount of money brought in during one week for the playground, we should be able to exceed our expectations for this mission.
TEACHER/STUDENT DATES: I am once again planning my Tacos with the Teacher after- school events where I hang out with your kiddo to enjoy some one-on-one fun. We would play games and enjoy taco-themed snacks provided by me. Pick-up time would be 4:15. Dates wouldn’t begin until after Spring Break. Stay tuned for a Sign-Up Genius link listing available dates. It won’t be mandatory to sign up.
SPELLING TESTS: The test will be this Friday. Please study with your child at home as well.
POP-TOP TABS: There has been an awesome outpouring for this drive. Thank you and keep them coming.
STUDENT COUNCIL: Thank you to everyone who participated in the ice cream fundraiser.
God’s blessings,
Karen Cooper
