Hello,
It was good this past week was short. Cabin fever was in play, and everyone needed a break. It will be nice to return to warmer temps this coming week.
Here are some tidbits for the week:
OWW: The field trip to Old World Wisconsin is Thursday, May 22 from 8 to 3. If you are able to drive and chaperone that would be awesome. Please let me know, and I will add you to the list. Thanks.
READING PROJECT: The projects for the Sarah, Plain and Tall reading group begin this week. There will be opportunities to work during school, but time may be needed at home as well. The due date for these projects will be Friday, March 7th. Finished projects may be turned in when completed.
SINGING: Our next singing opportunity is Sunday, March 2 at St. Stephen’s during the 8:00 service. The kiddos will be sitting with you and coming up to sing.
MISSION: Our new mission will be for a starter congregation in Bend, Oregon. Our goal will once again be $500. Our total so far is $351.25 which is roughly 70% of our goal. We have $148.75 left to raise to meet our goal for blessing this mission within 3 weeks.
TEACHER/STUDENT DATES: I am once again planning my Tacos with the Teacher after school events where I hang out with your kiddo to enjoy some one-on-one fun. We would play games and enjoy taco-themed snacks provided by me. Pick-up time would be 4:15. Dates wouldn’t begin until after Spring Break. Stay tuned for a Sign-Up Genius link listing available dates. It won’t be mandatory to sign up.
SPELLING TESTS: The test will be this Friday. Please be studying with your child at home as well.
POP-TOP TABS: Thank you and keep them coming. I’m always excited to give my sister a bag of them. I will see her again this weekend to hand a bunch over.
STUDENT COUNCIL: Please remember to send $1.00 along with the order form by this Wednesday if your child is participating in this playground fundraiser. Thanks.
COIN CHALLENGE: Remember the coin challenge for the playground is this week. We are teamed up with 2nd grade. Let’s Go!!!
God’s blessings,
Karen Cooper
