Hello,            Highlights of the week: *We enjoyed our second round of second-graders shadowing us this past week.   *A few more kids finished their narrative stories.  The editing process is a long one. *The butterflies were released on Wednesday,  and the mealworms found a home as well.  *Fourth graders shadowed upstairs. Cooper’s Troopers Weekly Note 5-10-25

Hello,   Thank you for all the treats, gifts, notes, cards, lunch, and kind words this past week.  I truly felt appreciated!! My bucket was filled. (The kids know what that means.)   Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms.  Thank you most especially for raising your children in the Lord. Excitement continues with the live plants and animals in our classroom.  The seed pods are getting larger and longer on our Fast Plants.  We now have 4 Painted Lady butterflies in the net “house”. Hello,   Welcome to the last month of the school year!  Wow, time has flown by.    This week a little bee came and pollinated the Fast Plants so that reproduction may occur. Cooper’s Troopers Weekly News 4-26-2025

The caterpillars have formed their chrysalises.  We await their beautiful metamorphosis into a Painted Lady Butterfly.  Many of the Fast Plants have already formed buds. Cooper’s Troopers Weekly Note 4-19-25

Hello, Our Fast Plants are speedily on-the-grow—-hence the name.  We started measuring their progress this week. The caterpillars are now in their pop-up tent. Many more mealworm larvae are going through the pupa stage and turning into Darkling Beetles.  If you move the container and listen, you can hear them moving about. Lent art adorns the halls with a transition to Easter and spring coming this week.  Feel free to walk through and notice. Hello,   Life was a theme for our classroom this week in a few different ways.  First of all, we celebrated the life we have through Christ during all our Christ Light lessons and our Lenten devotions.  We planted Wisconsin Fast Plant seeds on Tuesday, and some are already germinating.  Some of our mealworms are going through metamorphosis as God designed them to do. Cooper’s Troopers Weekly News 4-5-2025

Hello,   This week the Oregon Trail groups constructed their covered wagons. A shout-out goes to the manager at Marshall’s for gifting me 4 foldable cardboard boxes.  We also have lima bean seeds and radish seeds germinating or getting close to it.  Classroom “pets” were introduced on Wednesday–mealworms with some darkling beetles and caterpillar larvae.  Bucket drumming and cardio desk drumming once again rounded out our week. Hello, We experienced some fun events again this week.  We began our Oregon Trail Reading unit, helped to glorify worship with All-Sufficient Merit, enjoyed the gender reveal of Baby Barnett, rocked it to Cardio Desk Drumming for Gym class, enjoyed a Spelling Bee, and celebrated all our baptisms.  School is certainly never boring.
