Persevere

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

Encouragement Passage:

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;
no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father,
who has given them to me, is greater than all;
no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one.”

Mission offering:
Quarter 4 mission offering collection has now started.  Last week, we collected $167.00.  We are at $474.25 of our $500.00 goal this week.  That is 94.85% of our goal.  Thank you to all who have supported our missions throughout the course of the year.  May the Lord bless you as you continue to support the work he has placed in front of us all.  Special donations from outside sources have covered about 50% of our $474.23 that has been collected.  This gives us, as a school, an opportunity to help fund a wonderful mission with even more gifts.
We were scheduled to have Pastor Daniel Sims present on WELS Christian Aid and Relief at our chapel service on April 27, but due to the flooding and tornadoes in the Midwest and the relief efforts being laid down by WELS Christian Aid and Relief, he will be joining us on Monday, May 18 instead.
