Pursue
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
Philippians 3:12
Encouragement Passage:
This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
Isaiah 48:17
Please share this information with your children.
Singing Schedule:
Grades 1-8 sing TODAY, September 7. Worship will be at Lakeview Park in Beaver Dam starting at 10:00. Children will sit with their families and then come to the front area by the shelter when it is time to sing.
Following worship will be our church picnic. Families are asked to bring a dish to pass. The main meal will be provided. If it rains, worship will be at church with the meal to follow in the basement.
Grades K-8 will sing in a special 150th Anniversary Service on Sunday, October 5. This service will be at 3:00 PM. There will be an opportunity for fellowship and food after the service.
Mission offering:
We are collecting offerings for LLHS OpGo. Our goal is $500.00. Over the course of the first two weeks of school, we have collected $59.00. Let the Lord of Life guide us as we support this mission. Please look for envelopes to come home with children.
Tuition/Fees:
If your family needs to pay their 1st round of installment payments, please do so by the 15th of this month. This would only apply to those families who were not able to pay their first installment during Orientation/Registration. Starting in October, statements will be coming home with students to families with fees due.
Bike Riders:
There has been an increase in the number of bike riders coming to St. Stephen’s. This is great news. It also means we need more space for bikes. We are working on getting more bike rack space. When this arrives the plan will be for all bikes to be put on the north end of the building in the alley. For the current time, we ask that all bikes be ridden to the pedestrian gate on Maple Ave., and then walk them into the parking lot please. Please do not ride down the alley to get to the racks. Even though the parking lot is closed, please send a lock with your child. We have had bikes taken in the middle of the day from our racks.
We will monitor this in the coming weeks and see where adjustments need to be made.
T-Shirt Order forms:
In the registration packet from July, there was a blue form. This form asked for your children’s names and t-shirt sizes. We are ordering shirts for each child to match our theme for the year. They will be worn for special occasions or field trips as the teachers desire. If you did not send this form back, please send it back ASAP. If you need a new one, let us know and we will get it to you. Here is the design we will be going with. The yellow section will be white.
Mug orders:
Families that ordered Coffee Mugs during registration can go to the office and get them from Mrs. Gensmer. Remember the cost of each much is $20.00. It is a great way to advertise your church and school to those around you. There are a few extras that are being sold on a first come, first served basis. Again, feel free to stop in and see if there are any available.

St. Stephen’s School Mission:
St. Stephen’s Lutheran School will offer a Christ-centered education to all students. We will instruct them in the Word of God, educate them in secular subjects, train them to become responsible citizens in our community, and prepare them for their eternal victory in heaven when they die. We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.
Please remember that if you need assistance with anything that you can reach out to the teachers and leaders of St. Stephen’s. You can also find answers to some questions on the website: www.ssbdwels.com
