Hello,
Welcome to the last month of the school year! Wow, time has flown by.
This week a little bee came and pollinated the Fast Plants so that reproduction may occur. Now we look forward to watching seed pods develop.
Here are some tidbits for this week:
MEMORY WORK: Please check in with your child about memory work. Some kiddos are simply trying to do a quick look before saying it in the morning, and that is not going well.
OWW: The field trip to Old World Wisconsin is Thursday, May 22 from 8 to 3. Thank you to those who have signed up to drive and chaperone. The children and chaperones will need sack lunches that day.
SERMON STUDIES: Pages are available for your child to take and use when he or she needs another copy. Thank you parents for helping your child with this activity. I have enjoyed reading through the studies that have been completed. Thank you.
MISSION: Our 4th quarter mission for MLC continues. Our total stands at $ 290.10 which is roughly 58% of our goal. Thank you for blessing our pastor and teacher training college with your offerings. We have 4 more weeks to bring in gifts for this mission and meet the remaining balance of $209.90.
TEACHER/STUDENT DATES: Tacos with the Teacher continues this week. Horse, Pig, and Gravity Maze were the activities of choice for this past week. Jonas showed me how Gravity Maze works. That game is definitely good for the brain.
Kiddos signed up for future dates are: Kaitly, May 7 and Brooklyn, May 8. Judah and Ezzy will be rescheduled since “rest was best” for the teacher.
SPELLING TESTS: There will be a test on Friday.
BAND: This coming Wednesday our classroom will sit in on part of band class to see the band in action and try out instruments. Next year band will be offered to 4th grade so this will be a wonderful opportunity to get the kiddos acquainted with instruments of interest.
God’s blessings,
Karen Cooper
