Hello,
This week the Oregon Trail groups constructed their covered wagons. A shout-out goes to the manager at Marshall’s for gifting me 4 foldable cardboard boxes. We also have lima bean seeds and radish seeds germinating or getting close to it. Classroom “pets” were introduced on Wednesday–mealworms with some darkling beetles and caterpillar larvae. Bucket drumming and cardio desk drumming once again rounded out our week.
Here are some tidbits for this week:
MEMORY WORK: This quarter contains some memory work days on Mondays, as well as, the regular Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please note this change
OWW: The field trip to Old World Wisconsin is Thursday, May 22 from 8 to 3. Thank you to those who have signed up to drive and chaperone.
SERMON STUDIES: Pages are available for your child to take and use when he or she needs another copy. Per last week’s extra note, I changed it to 5 studies.
NIGHTLY READING: The journals and books were sent home on March 26. There are 8 journal entries to be completed. The whole book doesn’t need to be finished before entries are started. The due date is April 17. Items may be turned in earlier once they are completed. Thanks.
SINGING: Our next singing opportunity is Palm Sunday, April 13. We will sing during the 10 a.m. service. This time we will meet in the choir room at 9:40 a.m. since the kids will be walking in with palm branches. After singing, your child will sit with you.
MISSION: Our 4th quarter mission for MLC continues. Our total stands at $105 which is 21 % of our goal. Thank you for blessing our pastor and teacher training college with your offerings.
NO SCHOOL: There will be no school on Friday, April 18, or Monday, April 21.
TEACHER/STUDENT DATES: Tacos with the Teacher continues this week. Shooting hoops and playing checkers have been the activities of choice this past week. Watch out, we’ve got some future bball players on our hands.
Kiddos signed up for future dates are: Kennedy, April 8/ Anabelle, April 10/ Harper, April 22/ Liam, April 24/ Kaitly, May 7.
