Hello,
Happy New Year!! I hope you enjoyed a blessed Christmas with your family. May the celebration of our Savior’s birth bring you continued joy in this new year.
Speaking of celebrating our Savior’s birth, our children give God the glory when they present the Children’s Service. I do want to share with you, however, that I heard compliments about how well the third and fourth grade knew their parts. They made this “mama” proud, but more importantly–they praised their Lord!!
Here are some tidbits for the week:
SINGING: Our next singing opportunity is on Sunday, January 26. The kiddos will be sitting with you and coming up to sing.
NO SCHOOL: There will be no school this coming Friday, January 10. We will have off on Monday, January 20, as well.
MISSION: We successfully met our goal for the UK and London. Thank you to everyone who gave of their blessings. Our new mission will be for a starter congregation in Bend, Oregon. Our goal will once again be $500.
SCIENCE: We will be starting Science this next week.
STUDENT COUNCIL: Stay tuned for our next meeting. Since our January faculty meeting may shift, this meeting may shift as well.
SPELLING TESTS: No tests this week.
POP-TOP TABS: My sister’s school is collecting pop-top tabs, monster tabs, etc. for a family using the Ronald McDonald House due to a serious injury of their son. If you aren’t collecting these for any other reason, feel free to send them to our room, and I will get them to my sister. Thanks.
BAPTISM BIRTHDAYS: We are adding baptism dates to our birthday chart in our room. Please send a note or text informing me of your child’s baptism day. We will be celebrating around the time of my baptism birthday. (I have 9 baptism birthdays as of this typing. Thank you!)
MAP TESTING: Our next round of testing will be the last week of this month.
God’s blessings,
Karen Cooper
