God Word is impressed at the beginning of the day.
But I will sing about your strength.
In the morning I will shout about your mercy,
because you are a high fortress for me.
Psalm 59:16

Encouragement Passage:
We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit,
whom God has given to those who obey him.”

Singing Schedule:
Jr. Choir/Children’s Choir/Sr. Choir sing in the 10:00 service on December 15

2024 Christmas Service:
On Sunday, December 22nd, our Christmas service starts at 4:00.  Please have the children to their designated spots no later than 3:40.  Students in grades K-4 will meet in the lower hallway classrooms. Students in grades 5-8 will meet in the gym. Please remember that the doors to the school will not open until about 3:30 and the church doors will not open until approximately 3:15.
Piano students in grades 5-8 should be in church by 3:30.  Mrs. Estervig will send final details soon.

Mission Collection:
We collected $45.10 in our chapel service last week for Project Timothy.  We have collected $413.65 of our $500.00 goal.  This quarter’s collection has only 2 more weeks.  Let’s see how far past this goal we can take our offering in the next 2 weeks.  The 2nd quarter missions will go to help the WELS world mission in the United Kingdom/London.

Beaver Dam Parade-Let’s let our light shine to the community:
Thank you to everyone who came to walk in the Holiday Parade yesterday.  Your efforts are appreciated in everything you do to spread the word about our church and school.

Piano Recital:
Piano Recital is going to be tomorrow, December 9 at 5:30 and 7:00 in the church proper.

Band Concert:
The band concert will be Monday, December 16 at 6:30 in the gymnasium.

Weather announcement:
If inclement weather arises and school is closed or delayed, a text alert and email alert will be sent out between 5:45 and 6:00 the morning of the event.  Also, notices will be posted on WKOW, DailyDodge.com, and the church/school Facebook page.

Winter apparel:
Even though it seems like an ok thing to do, many students are not coming prepared to go outside.  Please remind students that it is cold out and that having coats, gloves, hats, and possibly even boots is important. We do go outside as long as the weather permits.  It is always easier to remove layers than to sit and wonder why they didn’t bring an article that keeps them warm.

Financial responsibilities:
New financial statements were sent home last week.  Please make every effort to get these paid in a timely manner before the 15th of the month.  If your situation has changed, please let us know as soon as possible.

St. Stephen’s School Mission:
St. Stephen’s Lutheran School will offer a Christ-centered education to all students. We will instruct them in the Word of God, educate them in secular subjects, train them to become responsible citizens in our community, and prepare them for their eternal victory in heaven when they die. We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.

Please remember that if you need assistance with anything that you can reach out to the teachers and leaders of St. Stephen’s.  You can also find answers to some questions on the website: www.ssbdwels.com
