To the members of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church,

Greetings in the name of Jesus our Savior

As we look at the month of November, we focus on our thanks to God for all the things he gives to us.  We always want to keep our priorities straight and at the top of the list is the thanks we give for the gift of His Son Jesus and to spread the word concerning him—to be his witnesses.  What an awesome responsibility the Lord has given to his people and to his called workers.

About a month ago, the congregation of Salem Lutheran Church and School,  through the Lord’s guidance, placed the divine call to me to be the principal and grade 7-8 teacher.  Throughout the course of the deliberation, the Lord has allowed me to refocus my mind on the mission at hand.  Thank you to everyone who reached out to me in this manner.

As I do appreciate the attention that has been given to the calling process over the past few weeks, the Lord in his wisdom has led me to return the call to Salem Lutheran.

I pray that the Lord will continue to bless the work of our congregation here at St. Stephen’s.  I am glad that the Lord has led me to remain part of it at this point in time.

Please keep all congregations of our synod in your prayers as the calling season continues, and the Lord continues to use HIS wisdom to place HIS workers where they are needed.

Your Servant in Christ,

David R. Schulz
