Bible Studies
- Sunday Bible Class – “The Life of David”
This Bible study meets on Sunday mornings at 9:10 in the church basement. We will be using the series The Life of David. We will look at events in David’s life and connect them to our lives. The Lord uses David’s strengths and weaknesses to teach his church. From David killing Goliath to David being overcome by temptation, we can see images of ourselves and learn how God deals justly with those he loves. Please join us!
- Fall Bible Study “Thessalonians”
We will work through the two letters of the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians, under a heading: “Encouragement and Guidance for Christians Living in Difficult Times and Places.” We meet Mondays at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. (same lesson at each) in the church basement. Please join us!
Mission Fest Sunday
The Senior Assistant (a Senior at the Seminary), Tommy Welch, from St. John’s Juneau, Horicon, and Salem-Lowell, is our guest preacher today. After our 10:00 AM service, join us at the potluck lunch followed by a presentation about Mr. Welch’s vicar experience in Asheville, NC, a home mission congregation. See you there!
OWLS Dinner Area WELS seniors are invited to Friedens of Randolph on Tuesday, October 12th. We will have a potluck dinner at 12:00. After the dinner and a devotion by Pastor Dave Nottling of Fox Lake, Joel and Mary Jane Winter will give a presentation on Cambria history and the Historical Society, of which Mary Jane serves as president. Friedens is on the south side of Randolph, on the corner of Germania and Jones. All those 55 and up are invited. Come join the fellowship!

The Martin Luther College Choir of New Ulm, MN will present a sacred concert at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1001 Center St, Hartford. The concert, titled “Let It Shine“, will feature a selection of choral music representing various composers and styles. The public is invited to attend. A door offering will be gathered to assist with travel expenses for the choir. Martin Luther College is part of the worker training program of our Wisconsin Synod. The college prepares teachers and staff ministers who are ready to accept positions in our congregations and it prepares men to enter the seminary to complete their training to serve as pastors.
Our Fall Festival will make its return on Sunday, October 31, from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM. This event gives us an opportunity to open up our campus to our community. Join us for a Trunk N’ Treat, games, food, and fellowship. We are looking for volunteers to help us with this event. Please look at the various sheets in the entryway and the ramp to see how you can help. If you have questions, please speak with Pastor Dorn.
Treasure Life Events: You’re invited to the Treasure Life Events, WELS Lutherans for Life’s fall fundraising events on Friday, October 8th, at the Milwaukee Marriott West Hotel in Waukesha. The Luncheon is at 12:00 PM and the Banquet is at 6:30 PM. Dr. Marc Newman will be our featured speaker. He will give you a new enthusiasm to take action in the pro-life movement. There is no cost to attend the Luncheon or the Banquet, but you need to register because the tables will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. FREE childcare is available this year. All funds raised will directly support life-affirming help for abortion-vulnerable mothers, a youth development program, pregnancy and parenting support for men and women, and advocate support for those suffering post-abortion trauma. Find all the details and register at treasure-life.org. For questions call Haley at 414-699-9915.
