A Prayer For Easter Sunday:
Praise to you, O God, maker of all things. You gave me life and breath. You sent your Son to cleanse me from sin and your Spirit to make me glad. Thank you for providing me with all that I need to live. To you be honor and glory now and forever. Amen.
Special Thanks Thank you to the Ladies Aid for donating the Easter Lilies that have been placed on the altar and also a special thanks to those who donated additional Easter lilies and all choir members and musicians for your extra efforts for today’s services. To God be the Glory!
Un-decorating for Easter will be Sunday, April 12th after the 10:00am worship service. Please meet in front of church (ramp door will be open). Thank you for all who served their Lord with their time and decorating talents.
LWMS Spring Rally will be held Saturday, April 18th, from 9:15 am til 1:00 pm at Friedens Lutheran Church in Randolph. All women of St. Stephen’s are considered members of LWMS and are encouraged to attend. $910 was collected the last 2 weekends to support the Missions of the LWMS.
Area WELS Seniors All Seniors are invited to Friedens Lutheran Church of Randolph on Tuesday, April 14. We will have a noon potluck meal in the church basement. After the meal, Pastor Jeff Drake will lead a devotion upstairs. Our guest presenter is Linda Jane Niedfeldt. She and her husband Tom began a travel business in 1995, “Tom’s Christian Tours.” She is a former teacher and has authored a number of books. Ladies’ Bunco Night will be Tuesday, April 7 at 6:30pm in the church basement. It will be a night of fun, food, and fellowship! Even if you have never played Bunco, don’t worry, no experience is needed. This is a great opportunity for us to spend some time with our sisters in Christ and have some fun. You could even win a prize! Please enter at the ramp (E5) or at the office (S1). Guests are also welcome! Any questions, give the office a call at 920-885-3309.
Quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be held at 11:10am on Sunday, April 19th in the church basement. In addition to reports about ministry and other activity during the 3rd quarter of ‘25-‘26, the major agenda items will be adopting ‘26-‘27 Ministry Spending Plan and approval of the revision of article 8 in the Church constitution.
Revision of Article 8 in the Church Constitution Proposed article updates role of the Finance Committee, explains duties and role of treasurer/bookkeeper, removes the position of “Financial Secretary” since those duties are carried out by the counting committee, and replaces the position with “Chairman (of the Finance Committee)” who is on the council and reports to the council and voters. Copies of the proposed article updates are at each entrance of the church. Please feel free to take a copy for review.
