During the summer, we will have a short Bible study Sundays after services, 10:40 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Jesus gives the command to his church to go and make disciples of all nations. What does this look like? What is my role in this? How can I better share my faith with others? These questions can be hard to answer. Our new topic for Bible Class will dive into the topic of evangelism, sharing Jesus with others. We will study God’s command to us, as we carry it out as a church and in our personal lives. Tips will also be given as to how to better witness our faith to others.

Area WELS Seniors All are invited to Friedens Lutheran of Randolph on Tuesday, August 10th.  We will have a potluck meal at 12:00 noon in the church basement.  After the meal and devotion,
Ken Kehlenbrink of Randolph will give a talk on “African Hunting Trips.”   Friedens is handi-capped accessible.  Bring a friend and join the fellowship!

Concert in the Park WELS Wind Ensemble invites you to its annual concert in the park, today, Sunday, August 8th, at 4pm at the Swan Park Band Shell (bad weather it will be at Good Shepherd).  Door prizes will be given and a hot dog supper offered to all who attend.

Athletic Dept. Thank you!  Dear members of St. Stephen’s,

Many members of the church gave thank offerings to the athletic fund over the last few months of the school year. The covid situation really affected the income taken in last year because sporting events were not able to generate revenue through concessions. About $4,000.00 was donated to the athletic program to help with expenses.

Because of this outpouring of generosity, the athletic department was able to purchase new uniforms for volleyball and
B-team basketball. Basketballs and volleyballs were also purchased to help replace worn out equipment.

On behalf of St. Stephen’s athletics students, I offer thanks to all who gave to support the athletic program through prayers, gifts, or just coming out and enjoying a game.

In His service,

Mr. Tom Zuberbier

Athletic Director, St. Stephen’s Lutheran School
