\n<\/b>We are collecting offerings for WELS World Mission: Australia.\u00a0 We have collected <\/span>$288.55 of our $500.00<\/b> goal so far.\u00a0 This is <\/span>57.7<\/b>% of our goal.\u00a0 We received a nice bump to our total from our Veterans Day collection.\u00a0 Let us now continue to press on toward our goal and see by how much we can surpass it now.\u00a0 Please look for envelopes to come home with children and encourage faithful giving to the missions throughout the year.\u00a0 <\/span>

\n<\/b>Please be aware that morning temperatures are around the 30-35 degree mark.\u00a0 We have had many children showing up without, what one might say, is proper fall wear in Wisconsin.\u00a0 Younger children are especially encouraged to bring a hat, gloves, and even a coat as they go outside before it really starts to warm up for the day.<\/span><\/p>\nAbsences:
\n<\/b>Please remember that if a student is gone for a medical appointment to get an excuse notice from the nurse\/doctor.\u00a0 Have the student turn that notice in when they come back to school.\u00a0 This is important for attendance tracking purposes.
\n<\/span>Also, when calling a student in for an absence, please inform staff as to why the student is absent for the day.<\/span><\/p>\nCall News:
\n<\/b>Tiffany Mateske has returned our call to be the 4th grade teacher at St. Stephen\u2019s.\u00a0 The voting assembly will meet again on Sunday, November 23 to place a call to a new soul to see who God leads to our midst.\u00a0 Please continue to pray for the ministry as we work toward filling our staff for the coming school year.\u00a0 All are welcome to attend the meeting on the 23rd.\u00a0 We especially encourage our voting members to attend and let their voices be heard.<\/span><\/p>\nFood Drive:
\n<\/b>Throughout November, St. Stephen\u2019s will be collecting non-perishable, non-expired food for the local food pantry.\u00a0 Boxes will be set out on each level of the school in which to place donations. Let’s let our light shine and share the love of Jesus by helping to meet the bodily needs of people in our community.<\/span><\/p>\nBeaver Dam Christmas Parade:
\n<\/b>All church and school families of St. Stephen\u2019s are invited to walk in this year\u2019s parade on Saturday, December 6th. Young, old, and in between are encouraged to represent our church and school by handing out flyers and candy during the parade. We ask that school-aged students be accompanied by an adult. Stay tuned to Facebook and Fast Direct emails for information on our spot in the line-up as we get closer to this event. We ask that people arrive by 4:30 pm for the 5 pm parade. \n<\/b>From time to time we like to highlight parts of the school handbook.\u00a0 Here is this week\u2019s piece to highlight:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Disagreements:<\/span>
\n<\/span>If a concern relating to a school incident or application of school policy should arise, God’s Word in Matthew 18 tells us what procedure should be followed. Courtesy and Christian love dictate that the matter first be privately discussed between parent and teacher, not with other parents, the principal or pastors, or members of the congregations. If, after a period of time, the problem still exists, the principal should be contacted. If the matter involves the principal, the School Board chairman should be contacted. If further counsel is deemed necessary at a later time, the pastors and School Board may be contacted. We should remember that errors will be made because we are all sinful human beings. All problems should be approached with prayer and Christian love, allowing God’s Word to lead to peaceful and proper solutions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\nMid-Quarter Reports:<\/b>
\n<\/b>Wednesday marks the midway point of the 2nd quarter.\u00a0 Reports will be released during the day on Thursday.\u00a0 Please take a moment to look at and discuss the report with your children.\u00a0 If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to the teachers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nSpecial Event:<\/b>
