\n<\/b>We are collecting offerings for WELS World Mission: Australia.\u00a0 We have collected <\/span>$101.25 of our $500.00<\/b> goal so far.\u00a0 This is 20.25% of our goal.\u00a0 Please look for envelopes to come home with children and encourage faithful giving to the missions throughout the year.\u00a0 We thank Pastor Raasch for his presentation on the WELS mission to Asia and Australia.<\/span><\/p>\nFall Spirit Week:<\/b>

\n<\/b>Please remember that if a student is gone for a medical appointment to get an excuse notice from the nurse\/doctor.\u00a0 Have the student turn that notice in when they come back to school.\u00a0 This is important for attendance tracking purposes.<\/span><\/p>\nAlso, when calling a student in for an absence, please inform staff as to why the student is absent for the day.<\/span><\/p>\nCall News:
\n<\/b>At the church meeting on Sunday, October 19, St. Stephen\u2019s called Mrs. Tiffany Mateske to be our 4th grade teacher and forensics coach.\u00a0 Mrs. Mateske will be in communication with the leadership of St. Stephen\u2019s over the next few weeks and will pray about to the Lord where she can be best used in the ministry field.\u00a0 Please keep Mrs. Mateske in your prayers as she deliberates this call.<\/span><\/p>\nFood Drive:
\n<\/b>Throughout November, St. Stephen\u2019s will be collecting non-perishable, non-expired food for the local food pantry.\u00a0 Boxes will be set out on each level of the school in which to place donations. Let’s let our light shine and share the love of Jesus by helping to meet the bodily needs of people in our community.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Beaver Dam Christmas Parade:
\n<\/b>All church and school families of St. Stephen\u2019s are invited to walk in this year\u2019s parade on Saturday, December 6th. Young, old, and in between are encouraged to represent our church and school by handing out flyers and candy during the parade. We ask that school-aged students be accompanied by an adult. Stay tuned to Facebook and Fast Direct emails for information on our spot in the line-up as we get closer to this event. We ask that people arrive by 4:30 pm for the 5 pm parade. We look forward to seeing you there!!!!<\/span><\/p>\nSpeaking of candy, donations are needed for the parade.\u00a0 Please send with your child to Mrs. Cooper\u2019s classroom. \n<\/b>From time to time we like to highlight parts of the school handbook.\u00a0 Here is this week\u2019s piece to highlight:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Disagreements:<\/span>
\n<\/span>If a concern relating to a school incident or application of school policy should arise, God’s Word in Matthew 18 tells us what procedure should be followed. Courtesy and Christian love dictate that the matter first be privately discussed between parent and teacher, not with other parents, the principal or pastors, or members of the congregations. If, after a period of time, the problem still exists, the principal should be contacted. If the matter involves the principal, the School Board chairman should be contacted. If further counsel is deemed necessary at a later time, the pastors and School Board may be contacted. We should remember that errors will be made because we are all sinful human beings. All problems should be approached with prayer and Christian love, allowing God’s Word to lead to peaceful and proper solutions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\nUpcoming Events:
