\n<\/b>We are collecting offerings for LLHS OpGo.\u00a0 We have collected <\/span>$378.05 of our $500.00<\/b> goal so far.\u00a0 This past week was a collection of <\/span>$72.15<\/b>, which is <\/span>75.6%<\/b> of our total goal.\u00a0 Let the Lord of Life guide us as we support this mission.\u00a0 Please look for envelopes to come home with children.\u00a0 We thank Pastor Dustin Yahnke for his message last Monday about taking the Gospel message to various places in the United States.\u00a0 As a point of reference, for each student from LLHS that goes on one of these OpGo trips, it costs anywhere from $600-$800.00 per student.\u00a0 With our offerings, we will be able to help out a student as they take the Gospel to the various corners of the country.\u00a0 We have 2 weeks of collections for this mission.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Our Fall Festival is quickly approaching.\u00a0 The Fall Festival has many different activities for the whole family. This event gives us an opportunity to open up our campus to our community. \n<\/b>Our annual Veterans Day celebration is quickly coming up.\u00a0 Please note the following details about Veterans Day:<\/span>
\n<\/span>All veterans are kindly invited to attend a special event in honor of their service to our country on Monday, November 10, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. The event will begin with a chapel service held in the church beginning shortly after 8:00 a.m.\u00a0 Following\u00a0 the chapel service, the children in grades K-8 will present songs and speeches. Afterward, refreshments will be served in the church basement.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/b>Lifetouch offers a tool called Community Image Upload, which enables school communities to contribute candid photos directly into the yearbook website.\u00a0 Parents and families can help submit pictures for this year\u2019s yearbook.\u00a0 Please consider when you are taking pictures to send them to St. Stephen\u2019s for use in the yearbook.\u00a0 Please be sure to submit your best photos of people.\u00a0 Every photo that is submitted will be reviewed. \u00a0 Follow the directions on the site.\u00a0 Information should have come home on Friday with your child.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/b>To achieve a bit of unity in school we are going to start something called \u201cRaiderwear\/Pursue shirt Friday\u201d.\u00a0 On select Fridays we are going to ask students to wear their favorite \u201cRaiderwear\u201d or the new \u201cPursue\u201d shirts they got this year.\u00a0 Select Fridays will be announced in advance in the weekly update and to the students the day before.\u00a0 Let\u2019s show unity and school spirit as we move through this year.
\n<\/span>This year\u2019s first Friday is October 17.\u00a0 We ask all students to wear their favorite \u201cRaiderwear\u201d to school.\u00a0 Please keep in mind that the Pursue shirts, even though they have a Raiders logo on them, are for \u201cPursue Shirt Fridays\u201d.\u00a0 Most classroom teachers have chosen to keep these at school, meaning the students may change into them when they get to school on those Fridays.<\/span><\/p>\n
