First Day of School:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Thank you to all who came to opening worship.\u00a0 Thank you for the support given throughout the first 3 days of school.\u00a0 Lord\u2019s blessings as we continue to navigate our school year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Singing Schedule:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Grades 1-8 sing on Sunday, September 7.\u00a0 Worship that day will be at Lakeview Park in Beaver Dam starting at 10:00.\u00a0 Following worship will be our church picnic.\u00a0 Families are asked to bring a dish to pass.\u00a0 The main meal will be provided.\u00a0 If it rains, worship will be at church with the meal to follow in the basement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grades K-8 will sing in a special 150th Anniversary Service on Sunday, October 5.\u00a0 This service will be at 3:00 PM.\u00a0 There will be an opportunity for fellowship and food after the service.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mission offering:
\n<\/b>We are collecting offerings for LLHS OpGo.\u00a0 Our goal is $500.00.\u00a0 Let the Lord of Life guide us as we support this mission.\u00a0 Please look for envelopes to come home with children.\u00a0 Even when we don\u2019t have chapel (like this week) offerings can still be sent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Child pick up and drop off after 8:00 am:<\/b>
\n<\/span>If your child arrives after 8:00, they need to be dropped off in the office at door S1 and Mrs. Gensmer will get them to their classrooms.\u00a0 Any time you want to visit a child’s classroom for an extended period of time, please make arrangements with the teacher beforehand.\u00a0 Thank you.\u00a0 If you need to pick your child up due to appointments, illness, or any other non school related event, please go to the office (door S1) and speak with Mrs. Gensmer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parking Lot Gates:<\/b>
\n<\/span>The gates of our parking lot are closed at 8:00 and are usually opened by 3:00.\u00a0 We ask that parents that arrive early be patient if the gates are closed or the lot is being used for recess\/P.E.\u00a0 We also ask that you pull as far forward as possible and come to get your child from the marked area, especially if they are under 3rd grade. <\/span>

\n<\/span>Tuition\/Fees:<\/b>
\n<\/b>If your family needs to pay their 1st round of installment payments, please do so by the 15th of this month.\u00a0 This would only apply to those families who were not able to pay their first installment during Orientation\/Registration.\u00a0 Starting in October, statements will be coming home with students to families with fees due.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bike Riders:
\n<\/b>There has been an increase in the number of bike riders coming to St. Stephen\u2019s.\u00a0 This is great news.\u00a0 It also means we need more space for bikes.\u00a0 We are working on getting more bike rack space.\u00a0 When this arrives the plan will be for all bikes to be put on the north end of the building in the alley.\u00a0 For the current time, we ask that all bikes be ridden to the pedestrian gate on Maple Ave., and then walk them into the parking lot please.\u00a0 Please do not ride down the alley to get to the racks.\u00a0 Even though the parking lot is closed, please send a lock with your child.\u00a0 We have had bikes taken in the middle of the day from our racks.\u00a0 <\/span>
\n<\/span>We will monitor this in the coming weeks and see where adjustments need to be made.<\/span><\/p>\n

LLHS Jr. Warrior Sports programs:
\n<\/b>Lakeside Lutheran High School offers a myriad of youth athletic programs.\u00a0 There are programs that start soon.\u00a0 Check out the website to see what is being offered and what you may be willing to go to with your child.\u00a0 Most programs are intended for children in grades 5-8.\u00a0 <\/span>Click here<\/span><\/a> to see the offerings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

LLHS Visit:
\n<\/b>On Friday, September 12, Mr. Stephen Lauber will be visiting St. Stephen’s.\u00a0 Mr. Lauber is the recruitment director at Lakeside Lutheran High School.\u00a0 He comes to discuss secondary Christian education with the 8th graders around 12:45 and then with the entire school at 1:30.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

St. Stephen\u2019s School Mission:<\/b>
\n<\/b>St. Stephen\u2019s Lutheran School will offer a Christ-centered education to all students. We will instruct them in the Word of God, educate them in secular subjects, train them to become responsible citizens in our community, and prepare them for their eternal victory in heaven when they die. We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
