Good morning to all families of St. Stephen\u2019s.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lord\u2019s blessing to all as we look to start another school year.<\/span>
\n<\/span>On Sunday mornings, you will receive an email in this format. <\/span>
\n<\/span>It is a general news piece for all parents in K-8.\u00a0 <\/span>
\n<\/span>(Important information, upcoming events, etc)<\/span>
\n<\/span>Please take time to read through these announcements and share information with your child.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Classroom pertinent announcements will either be sent home via a sheet of paper or sent digitally via FastDirect.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

First Day of School:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Children should arrive before 8:00 a.m. to prepare for the day.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Opening service is at 8:05 in church. All are invited\/encouraged to attend.<\/span>
\n<\/span>You could enter the building through door S1.\u00a0 This is the main office entry between the church and school on Maple Street.\u00a0 You could also enter the church through the ramp doors labeled E5.\u00a0 This is the parking lot off of West Street.\u00a0 Parents are more than welcome to visit the school in the morning before the chapel.\u00a0 Please consider joining us for our chapel service to begin the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Singing Schedule:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Grades 1-8 sing on Sunday, September 7.\u00a0 Worship that day will be at Lakeview Park in Beaver Dam starting at 10:00.\u00a0 Following worship will be our church picnic.\u00a0 Families are asked to bring a dish to pass.\u00a0 The main meal will be provided.\u00a0 If it rains, worship will be at church with the meal to follow in the basement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grades K-8 will sing in a special 150th Anniversary Service on Sunday, October 5.\u00a0 This service will be at 3:00 PM.\u00a0 There will be an opportunity for fellowship and food after the service.<\/span><\/p>\n

Worship Opportunities:<\/b>
\n<\/span>The Lord tells us, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching”\u00a0 (Hebrews 10:25). Every week we have the opportunity to grow our faith and relationship with our Savior. <\/span>
\n<\/span>Services at St. Stephen\u2019s:\u00a0 <\/span>Thursday at 6:30pm\u00a0 <\/span>Sunday at 8am and 10am\u00a0 <\/span>Bible class and Sunday School at 9:00am<\/span>
\n<\/span>Services at Good Shepherd:\u00a0 <\/span>Wednesday at 7:00 pm\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>Sunday at 9am\u00a0 <\/span>Bible class and Sunday School at 10:15am<\/span><\/p>\n

Kindergarten parents: <\/b>
\n<\/span>Please be sure that your child\u2019s immunization records are sent to school as soon as possible.\u00a0 If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email Mr. Schulz and he will help out.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>(<\/span>Principal@saintstephen.org<\/span><\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n

Child pick up and drop off after 8:00 am:<\/b>
\n<\/span>If your child arrives after 8:00, they need to be dropped off in the office at door S1 and Mrs. Gensmer will get them to their classrooms.\u00a0 Any time you want to visit a child’s classroom for an extended period of time, please make arrangements with the teacher beforehand.\u00a0 Thank you.\u00a0 If you need to pick your child up due to appointments, illness, or any other non school related event, please go to the office (door S1) and speak with Mrs. Gensmer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parking Lot Gates:<\/b>
\n<\/span>The gates of our parking lot are closed at 8:00 and are usually opened by 3:00.\u00a0 We ask that parents that arrive early be patient if the gates are closed or the lot is being used for recess\/P.E.\u00a0 We also ask that you pull as far forward as possible and come to get your child from the marked area, especially if they are under 3rd grade.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mission Collection:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Our first mission collection will already be at our opening service.\u00a0 If you would like to send an offering with your child, please put it into an envelope so we are aware of what it is for.\u00a0 The rest of the year, mission envelopes will be sent home with the children to place their offerings in.\u00a0 Our first quarter collection will be for Lakeside Lutheran High School\u2019s OpGo.\u00a0 <\/span>
\n<\/span>Operation Go seeks to train and equip students of Lakeside Lutheran High School to carry the Gospel of Jesus to missions and congregations of the WELS & ELS and our affiliations throughout the world.<\/span>
\n<\/span>We set a goal of $500.00 for our first quarter goal that will go through October 20.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Picture Day:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Picture day is scheduled for Monday, September 22.\u00a0 <\/span>
\n<\/span>Emails will be automatically sent to families with ordering information.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Band:
\n<\/b>Lessons will start next Wednesday, Sept 3.<\/span><\/p>\n

Piano:
\n<\/b>Lessons will start on Tuesday, Sept 2<\/span><\/p>\n

St. Stephen\u2019s School Mission:
\n<\/b>St. Stephen\u2019s Lutheran School will offer a Christ-centered education to all students. We will instruct them in the Word of God, educate them in secular subjects, train them to become responsible citizens in our community, and prepare them for their eternal victory in heaven when they die. We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
