LENTEN WORSHIP:
\n<\/b>Wednesday, April 2, St. Stephen\u2019s will have worship services at 3:45 and 6:30.\u00a0 Please consider joining us for worship as we walk with Christ to the cross of forgiveness.\u00a0 There will be meals between services starting at 4:45.\u00a0 This week the PTS is serving various casseroles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Singing Schedule:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Thank you to grades 3 and 4 for singing in the service last Wednesday.
\n<\/span>Kindergarten and Grade 1 will sing on Wednesday, April 2, in the 3:45 service.<\/span><\/p>\n

***<\/b>Children\u2019s Choir will sing at<\/span> ONLY the 10:00<\/b> service on Palm<\/span> Sunday, April 13***<\/b>

\n<\/span>Mission Collection:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Quarter 4 brings us to supporting the WELS college of Ministry, MLC.\u00a0 Our first collection put us well on our way to our goal.\u00a0 We collected $70.75 in our first collection out of spring break.\u00a0 Our missions in quarter 4, again this year, will support the mission of MLC and help prepare future leaders of our churches and schools.\u00a0 Let\u2019s get past our $500.00 goal again this quarter.\u00a0 We have 7 weeks of collection during our chapel service between now and the end of the school year to get there. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>2025 Spelling Bee:
\n<\/b>This year\u2019s Spelling Bee winners are:
\n<\/span>1st Place\u2014Levi Trimmer
\n<\/span>2nd Place\u2014Eden Estervig
\n<\/span>Winning word this year was runes.\u00a0 Lord\u2019s blessings to all 10 participants.<\/p>\n

2025 FAF Showcase:
\n<\/b>On <\/span>Friday, April 4<\/b>, the band, piano(grades 5-8), and choir students will be performing their Fine Arts Fair individual and mass numbers for the student body. Individual band and vocal students may also participate in this event.\u00a0 Parents may attend. It is from 1:45 until we are finished.\u00a0 Please enter through door W3.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2025 LLHS FAF:
\n<\/b>This coming weekend marks the 49th year of the Lakeside Lutheran High School Fine Arts Festival.\u00a0 This event showcases choirs, bands, and various musicians from throughout the LLHS federation.\u00a0 St. Stephen\u2019s will have students participating throughout the day on Saturday performing for judges.\u00a0 The choir will be judged at 1:40 PM and the band at 10:00 AM.\u00a0 Then on Sunday there is a concert starting at 4:00 where eight schools will have their bands and choirs perform for the audience.\u00a0 If you are looking for a fun day of music, come on down to Lakeside on either day.\u00a0 <\/span>

\n<\/span>2025 Summer Camps at LLHS and LPS:
\n<\/b>Lakeside Lutheran High School has summer sports camp every year.\u00a0 Here is the link to the site that describes the camps and how to register and pay for them.

I-55 Book Fair:
\n<\/b>We still need help.\u00a0 <\/span>In order to make the book fair run smoothly, we are looking for parent volunteers to help each day.\u00a0 The fair will run from April 7-13. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday it will run from 3:30-4:30 pm with helpers beginning at 3:20 pm. On Wednesday, it will run from 4:45 to 6:15 pm. On Saturday, it will be open after the Fun Run from 11 to Noon. On Sunday, it will run after the second service until noon. 2025-2026 Registration:
\n<\/b>Online registration for the 2025-2026 school year has been open for a few weeks now.\u00a0 Please fill out the registration as soon as you are able.\u00a0 It is as simple as putting yes or no in the red box on your log in page.\u00a0 If for some reason you are going to delay your registration\/intent for the next school year, please let us know.<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial responsibilities:
\n<\/b>Final payment schedules will be sent home this week.\u00a0 Please make every effort to pay your fees on time.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n

A reminder from the handbook about dress code as the weather warms:
\n<\/b><\/i>No clothing with inappropriate pictures, words, tank tops, or bare midriffs.<\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span><\/i>No sleeveless shirts during school hours; they will be permitted for athletic practices.<\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span><\/i>No flip-flops, <\/span><\/i>CROCS<\/i><\/b>, backless shoes are allowed because of safety on steps and at recess.<\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span><\/i>Shorts of proper length (finger-tip or longer), this includes skirts with slits.<\/i><\/b>
\n<\/i><\/b>Necklines on shirts should be about collar-bone height, no plunging necklines.<\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span><\/i>Parents be mindful of what your child wears to school. If in doubt, don\u2019t allow it to be worn.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
