LENTEN WORSHIP:
\n<\/b>Wednesday, March 19, St. Stephen\u2019s will have worship services at 3:45 and 6:30.\u00a0 Please consider joining us for worship as we walk with Christ to the cross of forgiveness.\u00a0 There will be meals between services starting at 4:45.\u00a0 This week the Senior Choir will be serving various kinds of soup.<\/span><\/p>\n

Singing Schedule:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Thank you to grade 2 for singing in the worship service last Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grades 3 and 4 sing Wednesday, March 26, in the 6:30 service.<\/b>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Mission Collection:<\/b>
\n<\/span>We collected $43.80 for our missions this past week.\u00a0 We collected $542.05 for the mission that will support the congregation start-up in Bend, Oregon.\u00a0 Thank you to all who supported this mission throughout the 3rd quarter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Quarter 4 brings us to supporting the WELS college of Ministry, MLC.\u00a0 Our missions in quarter 4, again this year, will support the mission of MLC and help prepare future leaders of our churches and schools.\u00a0 Let\u2019s get past our $500.00 goal again this quarter.\u00a0 We have 8 weeks of collection during our chapel service between now and the end of the school year to get there. <\/span>

\n<\/span>No School:
\n<\/b>It is our prayer that this week of break will be a week of revitalization for all as when we come back, there are only 10 weeks of school left.\u00a0 Enjoy the time over break with your family.<\/span>

\n<\/b>If you haven\u2019t returned you Easter sheet, please so so as soon as possible.\u00a0 Planning has already begun for Easter weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

2025-2026 Registration:
\n<\/b>Online registration portal for the 2025-2026 school year is now open.\u00a0 Please fill out the registration as soon as you are able.\u00a0 If for some reason you are going to delay your registration\/intent for the next school year, please let us know.<\/span>

\n<\/span>2025 Spelling Bee:
\n<\/b>The 2025 Spelling Bee will be held on Friday, March 28 starting at 2:00 in the afternoon.\u00a0 The top 11 spellers from grades 5-8 will participate in this bee. <\/span>

\n<\/span>2025 Summer Camps at LLHS and LPS:
\n<\/b>Lakeside Lutheran High School has summer sports camp every year.\u00a0 Here is the link to the site that describes the camps and how to register and pay for them.

Handwriting Honors:
\n<\/b>Zaner-Bloser, a school textbook publication company, supports a national handwriting contest.\u00a0 Submissions were made from grades K-4 from our school.\u00a0 Judges selected the following students\u2019 writing samples to move past the school competition and onto a regional and national competition.\u00a0 Congratulations to the following:\u00a0 Azalea Jo, Lillian H, Harper, Liam W, Silas.\u00a0 We will be notified if any of our submissions advance in the competition.\u00a0 Congratulations to all.<\/span><\/p>\n

I-55 Book Fair:
\n<\/b>This year St. Stephen’s will once again host a book fair.\u00a0 We are working with a different group.\u00a0 Instead of Scholastic, we will be hosting an I 55 Book Fair. Here’s a quote from their website…”Our vision at I55 Book Fairs is to partner with schools, churches, and organizations who are also passionate about raising up a generation of inspired readers.\u00a0 All products are screened, ensuring safety from unwanted knowledge, while still offering a wide selection of books.\u00a0 Our name comes from Isaiah 55. This chapter encompasses all we strive to do, knowing that nothing is impossible with God.”<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to make the book fair run smoothly, we are looking for parent volunteers to help each day.\u00a0 The fair will run from April 7-13. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday it will run from 3:30-4:30 pm with helpers beginning at 3:20 pm. On Wednesday, it will run from 4:45 to 6:15 pm. On Saturday, it will be open after the Fun Run from 11 to Noon. On Sunday, it will run after the second service until noon. St. Stephen\u2019s School Mission:
\n<\/b>St. Stephen\u2019s Lutheran School will offer a Christ-centered education to all students. We will instruct them in the Word of God, educate them in secular subjects, train them to become responsible citizens in our community, and prepare them for their eternal victory in heaven when they die. We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
