LENTEN WORSHIP:
\n<\/b>Wednesday, March 5,\u00a0 starts the season of Lent.\u00a0 St. Stephen\u2019s will have worship services at 3:45 and 6:30 on Wednesdays.\u00a0 Please consider joining us for worship as we walk with Christ to the cross of forgiveness.\u00a0 There will be meals between services starting at 4:45.\u00a0 This week\u2019s meal will be served by the Teen Group.\u00a0 They will be serving walking tacos.\u00a0 This also affects our singing schedule for the next 6 weeks.\u00a0 Please be aware of when students sing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Singing Schedule:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Thank you to the Children\u2019s choir for beautifying our 8:00 service this morning.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Jr. Choir will sing on Wednesday, March 5 at 3:45
\n<\/b>Kindergarten and 1st grade sing at Good Shepherd on Sunday March 9 in the 9:00 service
\n<\/b>Grade 2 sings Wednesday, March 12, in the 3:45 service.
\n<\/b>Grades 3 and 4 sing Wednesday, March 26, in the 6:30 service.<\/b><\/p>\n

Mission Collection:<\/b>
\n<\/span>We collected $65.20 for our missions this past week.\u00a0 We have collected a total of $416.45.\u00a0 This puts at 83.2% of our goal of $500.00.\u00a0 Our goal is in sight.\u00a0 Let\u2019s see how far past the $500.00 mark we can take this in the next 2 weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n

PickUp\/Dropoff reminder:
\n<\/b>The parking lot can be a busy place during pick up and drop off.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/b>There have been some noticeable incidents in the last few weeks that piqued the interest of school faculty.
\n<\/span>Three reminders as we move towards the end of the school year:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Students 2nd grade and under should be brought to and picked up from the double lined area of the parking lot.\u00a0 Older siblings may help with this.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. While you wait for your students, please do so within the double yellow line area.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. When dropping children off in the lane next to the yellow lines, please pull up as far as possible.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    “COIN DUEL” \u2013 A Fun School-Wide Competition!<\/b>
    \n<\/b>Thank you to everyone who supported our Coin Duel this past week.
    \n<\/span>Over the week we collected 52,895 coins totaling $1,831.00
    \n<\/span>Here is the breakdown by team:<\/b>
    \n<\/b>Team 1:<\/b> Grades 5-8<\/span> 24,607 coins for $576.27
    \n<\/span>Team 2:<\/b> Grades 2-4<\/span> 13303 coins for $547.32
    \n<\/span>Team 3:<\/b> Grades K-1<\/span> 14985 coins for $706.87<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Grades 5-8 were the winning team and will receive their root beer floats soon.\u00a0 Thank you to all the support for the new playground.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Sundae Fun Day!
    \n<\/b>Thank you to everyone who helped raise funds for the playground through the Student Council Sundae Fun Day fundraiser.\u00a0 We were able to raise$107.00 for the playground through these efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Movie nights coming up:<\/b>
    \n<\/span>Friday, March 7, 6:00 is movie night at Good Shepherd to wrap up Read Across America week.\u00a0 They will be watching Clifford the Big Red Dog.\u00a0 There will be hot dogs, chips, cookies, and popcorn.\u00a0 They will also have a \u201cguess the number of dog bones\u201d contest.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Financial Statements:
    \n<\/b>Financial statements will be sent home this week.\u00a0 Please be sure to make appropriate payments as the year continues.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    2025-2026 Registration:
    \n<\/b>Online registration portal for the 2025-2026 school year is now open.\u00a0 Please fill out the registration as soon as you are able.\u00a0 If for some reason you are going to delay your registration\/intent for the next school year, please let us know.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Fun Run\/Walk Fundraiser
    \n<\/b>Last week you received a letter about our upcoming Fun Run\/Walk Fundraiser.
    \n<\/span>What a great opportunity to gather as a school and church family to support raising funds for the playground.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2025 Summer Camps at LLHS and LPS
    \n<\/b>Lakeside Lutheran High School has summer sports camp every year.\u00a0 Here is the link to the site that describes the camps and how to register and pay for them.
