Call meeting:
\n<\/b>Last Sunday, the voting members of the congregation called Pastor Matthew Reis (pronounced like \u201crice) to be our shepherd at St. Stephen\u2019s.\u00a0 In the same meeting, we called Mrs. Katrina Reis to be our 3rd grade teacher in the school.\u00a0 Lord\u2019s blessings as they deliberate the calls granted by our Lord through our voters.<\/b><\/p>\n

Singing Schedule:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Thank you to grades 3 and 4 for their song during the 10:00 service today.
\n<\/span>Good Shepherd Preschool will sing at the beginning of our 10:00 service on February 2.
\n<\/span>The Jr. Choir will sing at Good Shepherd on Sunday February 9 during the 9:00 service.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mission Collection:<\/b>
\n<\/span>We are off to a great start with our mission collection this quarter.\u00a0 We have collected $132.85 total.\u00a0 This puts at 26.5% of our goal of $500.00.\u00a0 Please remember that your child does not have to have the envelope to give an offering.\u00a0 The 3rd quarter mission collection will be for WELS Home Missions to support a new mission congregation in Bend, Oregon.\u00a0 Tomorrow at 8:30 we will have chapel and presentation with Pastor Paul Schupmann.<\/span><\/p>\n

Winter apparel:
\n<\/b>Please remind students that it is cold out and that having coats, gloves, hats, and possibly even boots is important. We do go outside as long as the weather permits.\u00a0 It is always easier to remove layers than to sit and wonder why they didn\u2019t bring an article that keeps them warm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial responsibilities:
\n<\/b>Please stay current with your book fees for this school year.\u00a0 Semester payments are due at this time. <\/span>
\n<\/span>Send payments to school in an envelope marked \u201cSchool Payments\u201d\u00a0 Thank you.<\/span>

Kindergarten Round-Up:
\n<\/b>On Monday, February 17, 2025,\u00a0 we will be holding our annual Kindergarten Round-Up.\u00a0 This will be from 6-7.\u00a0 It is an opportunity for new Kindergarten parents and students to meet and greet the faculty of the school.\u00a0 If you know of a family that has a child that would be in Kindergarten next year, please encourage them to be part of this Round-up and learn more about the importance of Christian elementary education.<\/span><\/p>\n

School closing reminder:
\n<\/b>If there is a weather delay for St. Stephen’s, we will post them on the website, our Facebook page,<\/span> dailydodge.com<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> wkow.com<\/span><\/a>, and an announcement will be made via OneCallNow.\u00a0 The district tries to inform the school as early as possible and I will make submissions right after that.\u00a0 <\/span>If the district isn\u2019t in session, these locations are very important as this is where they will be posted.<\/b><\/p>\n

St. Stephen\u2019s School Mission:
\n<\/b>St. Stephen\u2019s Lutheran School will offer a Christ-centered education to all students. We will instruct them in the Word of God, educate them in secular subjects, train them to become responsible citizens in our community, and prepare them for their eternal victory in heaven when they die. We will do this by holding Jesus and his love before them each day by appropriately using law and gospel as we instruct and discipline.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
