Hello,<\/span><\/p>\n

Many years ago Thanksgiving became a holiday. It seems to be one the world would like to bypass as the stores mingle fall and Christmas decor earlier and earlier every year.\u00a0 May we take special time to pause and be thankful for all our blessings big and small, especially the blessing of our Savior.\u00a0 May we take time to pause and prepare our hearts for the celebration of his coming before the \u201cbusyness\u201d of the season sweeps us away. Even though we know every day is a reason for thankfulness, may we enjoy this special opportunity to pause and be thankful!<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here are some\u00a0 tidbits for the week:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

SINGING: <\/b>Children\u2019s Choir will be singing tomorrow\u2013 November 10 during St. Stephen\u2019s 8:00 service.\u00a0 We sing again in December for the Advent Song service.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

MISSION: <\/b>We are now collecting for the World Mission in the UK.\u00a0 Our offering total for this mission is $111.35.\u00a0 That brings us to roughly 22% of our goal. Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

SHOW & TELL:\u00a0 <\/b>Our classroom voted to have a show and tell day.\u00a0 This day will be Tuesday, November 26.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

SPELLING TESTS: <\/b>Each child will receive a spelling list through the weekly folder.\u00a0 Your child will also have a homework folder copy.\u00a0 Please be sure they keep that one with their homework folder since we use it at school.\u00a0 Thanks.This week\u2019s test will be on Friday.\u00a0 Please study each night.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

STATE FLOAT: <\/b>The kiddos really put effort into their floats. They are excited to share them with others.\u00a0 They also want to bring a food item that goes with their state and possibly dress up.\u00a0 These are all fun ideas.\u00a0 I will plan a day before the semester ends.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

FOOD DRIVE: <\/b>The food drive continues this week. This week\u2019s collection focuses on boxes of cereal.\u00a0 (These do not have to be name brand.)\u00a0 Let\u2019s bless others in need.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

SPIRIT WEEK: <\/b>Let\u2019s see all the spirit this week.\u00a0 See your paper note or Mr. Schulz\u2019s note for<\/span><\/p>\n

each day\u2019s theme.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

ART ON THE TOWN: <\/b>On Wednesday, November 20, we will be walking to Art on the Town to have fun creating a painting.\u00a0 The plan is to be there by 1 and return to school by 3:00 pm.\u00a0 Funds for this are already in place.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

WET WIPES: <\/b>Please ask your child if he or she is in need of wet wipes.\u00a0 The wipes are stored at your kiddo\u2019s desk, so he or she would (should) know.\u00a0 Thanks.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

POP TOP TABS:<\/b> My sister\u2019s school is collecting pop top tabs, monster tabs, etc. for a family using the Ronald McDonald House due to a serious injury of their son.\u00a0 If you aren\u2019t collecting these for any other reason, feel free to send them to our room, and I will get them to my sister. Thanks.<\/span><\/p>\n

BAPTISM BIRTHDAYS: <\/b>We are adding baptism dates to our birthday chart in our room.\u00a0 Please send a note or text informing me of your child\u2019s baptism day.\u00a0 We will be having a celebration around<\/strong> the time of my baptism birthday.\u00a0 (It\u2019s March 16, and we will be on vacation.)<\/span><\/p>\n
