Singing Schedule:<\/b>
\n<\/b>Children\u2019s Choir will sing on Sunday, November 10, at the 8 a.m. service.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mission Collection:<\/b>
\n<\/b>We collected $72.00 in our chapel service last week for Project Timothy. <\/span>\u00a0We set a goal of $500.00 for our first quarter. Let\u2019s see how far we can take the 2nd quarter goal.\u00a0 The 2nd quarter missions will go to help the WELS world mission in the United Kingdom.\u00a0 Pastor Martin will be here tomorrow to have chapel with the students and present on the mission.\u00a0 We have set a similar goal of $500.00 for this quarter as well.\u00a0 We should easily eclipse that goal if each student brings $1.00 each week for the next 8 weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Veterans Day:<\/b>
\n<\/b>Our annual Veterans Day celebration is quickly coming up.\u00a0 This year is special as our celebration falls on Veterans Day.\u00a0 <\/span>
\n<\/span>Please note the following details about Veterans Day:<\/span>
\n<\/span>All veterans are kindly invited to attend a special event in honor of their service to our country on Monday, November 11, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. The event will begin with a chapel service held in the church at 8:15 a.m. followed by presentations and songs by the grade school children. Afterward, refreshments will be served in the church basement.\u00a0 Here is a link to sign up a veteran for the special event.\u00a0 Please encourage people to sign up so we are aware of how many attendees there will be.<\/span>

Fall Festival\u2013<\/b>
\n<\/b>Thank you to all who helped out with the Fall Festival this year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Parent\/Teacher Conferences:<\/b>
\n<\/b>Thank you to all the parents who took time to come and discuss student progress this past week.\u00a0 Please remember to keep the lines of communication between yourself and the teachers open at all times.<\/span><\/p>\n

Weather information:<\/b>
\n<\/b>Please be aware that morning temperatures are around the 30-35 degree mark.\u00a0 We have had many children showing up without, what one might say, is proper fall wear in Wisconsin.\u00a0 Younger children are especially encouraged to bring a hat, gloves, and even a coat as they go outside before it really starts to warm up for the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial responsibilities:
\n<\/b>Fee statements will be sent home this week.\u00a0 Please remember to pay this before the 15th of the month.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Food Drive:<\/b>
\n<\/span>From October 28-November 22, St. Stephen\u2019s will be collecting non-perishable food for the local food pantry.\u00a0 There will be a classroom challenge associated with this food drive this year.\u00a0 Classroom groups will be as follows:\u00a0 Kindergarten and 6th grade, 1st grade, 2nd and 7th grade, 3rd and 4th grade, 5th and 8th grade.\u00a0 <\/span>So, get excited to start collecting!\u00a0 Each week, the group with the most contributions will receive an edible treat and\/or a non-edible prize! Most importantly, let’s let our light shine and share the love of Jesus by helping to meet the bodily needs of people in our community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fall Spirit Week:<\/b>
\n<\/span>To break up the start of the year, the student council has decided on a spirit week.\u00a0 This will happen the week of November 11.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Monday:\u00a0 Formal dress up for Veterans Day.\u00a0 (Wear your best church style clothes\u2013no jeans or t-shirts)<\/span>
\n<\/span>Tuesday:\u00a0 Pajama Day <\/span>
\n<\/span>Wednesday:\u00a0 Fall Color Day (Wear colors of Autumn\u2013Reds, oranges, yellows)<\/span>
\n<\/span>Thursday:\u00a0 Mismatch Day (Self-explanatory)<\/span>
\n<\/span>Friday:\u00a0 Crazy Hair Day (Hairstyles that are crazy\/different.\u00a0 Do not come with colored\/dyed hair)<\/span><\/p>\n
